Well, the US is now up to 350,000 dead of Covid 19, and we are only half way through the winter.

So my estimate was conservative to say the least. Looks now as if you will be lucky to get away with less than half a million dead, by the time the vaccine is fully rolled out.

Ha. I think you mean dead WITH covid, not from it? Looking at the death rate stats I found it miraculous that at the same time covid spikes, somehow, magically, heart attack and other deaths drop so that the death count remains the same.

Yes, it does. That means over 3 million people in the US will die of this. Trivializing it as 1% seems downright heartless.

Except for people likely to die of it, few people are dying. Well, except for those that do. And, of course, that ignores the long term issues many people who recover from it experience.
