yes things are simple when one text is taken literally and out of context with the rest of the book, if any of you had taken the time to visit the website you would see that other texts indicate that gods people will not be taken by surprise, Noah wasn’t taken by surprise [gods ppl] but the wicked were [as it was in Noah’s day so shall be the day of the lord]

Notice that those who love god WILL NOT be caught off-guard by $atan the thief.

1am surprised to read here that virtually no-one has read from the site that explains the formula given, anyone who had taken the 15 minutes to read it could not take one text and say ''its that simple''

Devoting ones life to god is not a simple thing, it would take approximately 400 years to read all the texts in the Vatican vaults at a 40 hour work week.

The books edited from the bible [Enoch etc] act as incredible context to set time lines for many bible events, this was removed by Rome.

The 3rd Fatima prophesy [from my source] states that the Vatican will fall under $atan$ power, this is the prophesy which the church said the public wasn’t ready for.

Is the public ready to know the date was also held back ?
I read the site and though the base theme of the formula didn’t make sense, the amount of cross-referencing commanded respect and drew my heart.
This kind of devotion is not as simple as reciting one text.

I find the dating of the flood to be approximately 1500 AC (after creation). This would make it only 4500 +/- years ago. This also confirms with the Hebrew calendar.

look into it yourself ... all dating methods have many flaws which make placing dinosaurs, floods, volcanoes, ice ages, asteroid impacts, artifacts, etc virtually impossible. 0nly in cases where tablets, scripts or texts concur with the given dating method can there be any degree of certainty.

A lot are based off the Mayan calendar which I believe mysteriously ends at 2012.

It doesn’t end mysteriously it is a completion of the 26,000 year star-precession cycle, something science and astronomy have been aware of since time immemorial, and which is marked by numerous pyramid and monument sites globally.

… and camping's date has nothing to do with the Maya calendar, which isn’t Maya, as the Mormons said Christ came to America from Jerusalem, the Olmec had it first according to the records 1ve studied.

That's like a full year and a half before the original date!!! How the hell am I supposed to convince people to sell me their houses for $100 in less than two months so I can sell it back to them at twice the actual cost?!

I feel bad for people that have fallen for this line of thinking. Many of them might have breakdowns when May 22 or October 22 comes around, or may have set their self up in a financially bad way, or might have done things they wouldn't have done otherwise.

Harold Camping claims the Rapture will occur on May 21,2011.
On May 22, Camping will claim the Rapture did indeed occur, but he and others were "Left Behind" to warn everyone about his other prediction, the date of October 21, 2011 for the end of the world.
When asked "who was raptured?", Camping will point to the 155,500 likely daily deaths that occurred May 21st, (ignoring that this is a daily occurrence), as those that "met Jesus in the clouds". Or perhaps claim that all Christians who die between May 21st and Oct. 21st are those "raptured".

Either that of a "Heavens Gate" like mass suicide, or both.

1'll try to respond to everyone in ine post ...

1st - 1 brought this topic to this 4um for discussion because 1 thought members might be interested in it.

2nd - @ Penumbra i will post a letter 1 wrote to a friend who posts lots of doom.

3rd - @ BruceDLimber 1 thought this was a valid point.

4th - 1 personally dont feel that any religious prophesy is needed to see that the economic, nuclear, food, water, enviromental, and population problems are far from made up, or that they could presssure the world into war, follwed by pandemics ... these things can all play a part in an extiction scenario of some degree without any religion or prediction coming into play.

that being said here is my letter to ken;

In Judeo-Christian tradition those who make false predictions [why i present 'models'] must be put to death by law.
imagine how pumping the adrenalin of young impressionable people affects them, their hopes for the future, remember how Christ rebuked the pedophiles?
Better an anchor around their neck ... what about false prophets who predict doom that doesn’t come?
Better or worse than pedophiles?
What about parents who physically/emotionally/sexually/verbally or psychologically abuse their kids?
Better or worse than pedophiles on judgment day ?

what impressed me with campings writing is that his camp effectivly debunked the theory [text] of ''' nobody will know the hour ''''' with other texts which indicated the opposite.

thats what made me think this would be a good discussusion topic.

Either way, it's certain neither of those will occur on said days whatsoever based on issues concerning substantiation to which there is no valid foundation to give the announcement any credence or serious consideration. Its therefore not unduly hard or difficult to determine that its simply not gonna happen. Such predictions from individuals or groups when publicly proclaimed tend to be actually a cry for attention far as I see it.
