It's a risk factor since older people have weakened immune systems. Our immune systems weaken as we age. Many factors involved in dying from any lung related condition.

Who taught you biology?

So why does it kill children?

Why does it kill teenagers?

Why does it kill young adults (obviously their immune system is weakening)

I don't know anyone who died specifically of COVID. I doubt there are many people who have without any other overlapping illness or risk such as sickness, age, populace, and other factors.
There are other factors in many illnesses. It's not a lot of comfort to a man with diabetes to tell him, well yeah your dying because you've now got Covid 19 as well, but hey what can you expect?

There aren't a lot of people who die of any disease without a having factors of risk like age, weakenned immune system, poor diet, obesity, smoking, etc. In fact, I don't know any disease that doesn't become more lethal depending on factors of risks like old age, weakenned immune system, poor diet, obesity, smoking, etc. Feel free to find one.

Wow guys. It was just a question.

Not sure what you're getting at Christine.

Shrugs. What can I say? I don't have too much opinions about most viruses and illnesses that I haven't came across personally. I'd be a hypocondriac to even uplift this virus among others. So, I keep a pretty even keel about it.

Don't be deliberately obtuse.

Not sure what you're getting at.

My aunt was as I said 100% healthy before she got the virus, two weeks after she got it she died, is age a sickness when one is healthy? Btw my aunt was 70 years old not in danger of dying before the virus.

Sorry for your loss. 70 isn't all that old to die, especially for a woman.

His track record and his flippant answers are good indicators.

Eh. I don't see anything specific in the OP that would make me draw that conclusion based on how long he has been here etc and the thread being in current events and not jokes. It's better to go off evidence than off belief if push comes to shove. Keeps things more positive.

Does anyone here personally know of someone who died strictly from the covid 19 virus? Be honest....

I don’t personally know anyone who died of the Spanish flu or Polio or Scarlet Fever or AIDS or Swine Flu. Guess those are all hoaxes too? Must be of great comfort to the family members of those that “didn’t die” from diseases, I guess.

His track record of mocking the virus, mask wearing and now death

When you have lost someone or know of someone who had lost someone to this virus, repeated "thats a no then"s make it a joke, not a current event

I judge him by his report card. He has given me no reason to believe this question was asked in good faith. Especially with this response:

Basically stating that unless someone has had personal experience regarding a global pandemic, they shouldn't have to wear a mask.

I just take the OP as is. Mostly, looking at where it is placed to see if I have anything to add that's relevant, an opinion I can relate to, or so have you. If it's something that's ridiculous, can't read it, then I skip it. No use of reading and replying to something that I'd have no interest in. Each person's different.

It's plain what the OP is trying to do, as @Quetzal has pointed out.

And you ought to get yourself an informed opinion about Covid 19, if you know what's good for you. This thing has nearly overwhelmed the hospitals in London , North Italy, New York and now Houston. That is a fact. A hard fact.

There is no need to worry too much if you take the precautions, but if you don't it can easily kill people you know who are old, fat or dark-skinned, even if you are none of those yourself.

I'm sorry for your loss.

I live in a senior and disability retirement home and see a lot of healthy residents. Then a month or so later, one person dies for one reason or another. It goes through the building like wild fire. I'd say personally instead of focusing on whether one died because of "the" virus or something else (as if one deadly illness is more important than another), focus on keeping people alive and our loved ones at heart.

I don't know anyone personally who has died of AIDS. I don't know anyone personally that has died of Hodgkin's lymphoma. I don't know anyone personally who has died of many diseases simply because I don't know that many people personally who have died (maybe a dozen).

I know a number of people who have survived cancer.

Yet, I still believe people die of these diseases.
