HAHAHA Your being contradictory, you said it's the god of heaven, and not any of the gods from earth. And to show this example you quoted the bible, thats a contradiction, men from earth wrote the bible, just like men from earth wrote the vedas, or the qur'an. Once again, your going with the belief that makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside, which is fine, but at least admit thats what your doing.

No, of course not, do you? I do however accept the consensus view of mainstream science, because I understand and respect the scientific method.I was on my way to being a psychologist once and and did study abnormal behavior, DO YOU BELIEVE IN EVERYTHING YOU READ?
For example, I would never assert as a fact a prediction by someone who had been wrong the last 3 times; I'm too careful for that.

Start a thread; this one is about evolution and creationism. So far we've learned that believing in creationism is on par with believing in a well-established charlatan. Now, as I was saying, do you think you understand what ToE is, or are you rejecting it without even knowing what it says?

Actually Blu... a lot of fossils come from volcanic ash deposits not floods. Here is a great example: Ashfall Fossil Beds State Historical Park
Then there are tarpits, dry sand burial, mireing and other means that don't require water.
Floods sort material in a very specific way... so well that we can identify traces of prehistoric flooding.
Such events are rare in sediments, and the way sedimentary layers are sorted is contrary to the way floods sort materials. We can even tell tsunami type floods from river floods.

The best thing science can do now is figure out how long before the world ends, and from many predictions of future catastrophes it isn't very long. And I still hold on to my theory that the big bang fire seen , is not the past, but the future coming.
I think we can both agree the world is really going to end very very soon, But I do know the date, you do not.
It still is only part of the picture. I could go on and on and so can you. But everting was under water for nearly a year. And it took a long time to abate. OH, you do not believe in the flood. I also wondered when I used to go hunting high in the mountains of California, and find sea shells 5-6000 feet Above sea level, Hmm, I wonder who put them there!

How much faith do you have? I would say that you must have some the Bible says that every person is given a measure of faith, and the fact that you are here tells me you are a seeker. We are all looking aren't we for something great, bigger than ourselves. I heard a minister once say that the rest of the Bible hinges on that first line, that first statement that a great and mighty God came and decided to form the heavens and the worlds, the universe as we know it, and all he had to to was "speak it" into existence. You see that is where a great many people fail, they don't know the Biblical truth that there is power in the spoken word and especially in the spoken word of GOD. You know how you feel when your child says I LOVE YOU SO MUCH! That is what GOD is waiting for us to say, to have that relationsionship with him. I was young when I first accepted Christ as my Saviour but i didn't really understand so I go away from God. As time went by things began to happen in my life, I found that He still had his hand on me. I was driving this little blue Honda, I loved that car, I heard a voice say one day "Don't drive down the by-pass when you go home. I thought what was that? well, i did my shopping and decided to pay heed to the warning and went down a little side street where the speed limit was only about 35mph. As i was going down the road my steering wheel began to shake a little at first then worse and then it locked up. My car went into the other lane then onto the sidewalk! I got out ran around my car, my axle was broken into and had wrapped inself into the sidewall of my car! Well, there were no cell phones back then, I walked down the road a nice lady let me use her house phone to call my brother, he came to pick me up. At the same time that he arrived a policeman drove up took a look at my car and said "Wow, it's a good thing you were not going down the by-pass you would have had a head on collison and died! I looked at my brother and he at me, I was so quite on that trip home, after a while I told him about the voice, I remember he looked at me and said what? You heard a voice that told you not to go down the by-pass. So, I thank God that he spared my life, I thank God that my poor mother who had two strokes when I was ten didn't have to have a policeman come up to the door and tell her that her youngest daugther had just been killed in a car wreck. I thank God for his goodness and his mercy and I thank God that you have a child, you know the love of a child and that we have the opportunity to learn about a Loving and merciful God in a world that is in bad bad need of what he has to offer. Like I said how much faith do you have and are you willing to teach your child about a wonderful and loving GOD who will be there for her when she or he really needs HIM?
