Landslide? Trump Won With Only 1.6% Margin Among Voters

No, I have a wait and see attitude. Did you believe Harris when she said she would lower costs? Both candidates said this.

So you say. It seems more likely that you have a wait and make excuses attitude.

Harris never made anything like Trump's grandiose claims. She only said she would go after corporate price gouging. That was one reason why Trump got a lot of money from some very rich people.

No, she also said she would lower health insurance costs, utility bills, travel costs, housing costs, grocery costs, child care costs and banking costs.

Exactly what I said, although you are acting as if you are disagreeing. Her promise was to fight corporate greed and make taxes fairer for low and middle income workers. Trump, at best, would pursue the discredited "trickle down" approach--giving tax breaks to corporations and wealthy individuals like himself and his billionaire donors. His one big idea has been to impose draconian tariffs on imports, driving up costs for consumers and almost certainly touching off a global trade war.

When the US did that in 1930, it shut down global trade, making the national depression deeper and more severe. Global markets are already becoming unstable, as foreign governments try to figure out their retaliatory actions if Trump really goes through with his threats. We could see the economy tumble very quickly, even though the Biden administration is leaving Trump a very strong and stable economy now.
