I don't have a problem with this.
Makes no sense to create an item that takes between 10-1,000 years to decompose, based on the type of soil it's in and other variables, just to have a 1 time use that only last a few minutes.
I like how Aldi does it in Germany. They sell cloth bags right at the counter. So if you haven't gotten around to getting set up on cloth grocery bags yet, they are right there. About 2 Euros a piece iirc, reusable for years and significantly less impact on the environment as even when they become unusable, cloth decomposes much quicker (in about 5-6 months).
This is available in Oregon and I use it. Those cloth bags are durable and do not seem to tear open.
