Democrats are for Bigger government.

Bigger government = more control and less freedoms

Smaller government = Less control and more freedoms.

So, lessee:

Republicans gave us the Patriot Act (more control and less freedom).

Repubicans gave us Homeland Security (more control and less freedom).

You forgot "Republicans are for fiscal responsibility", which is why they have given us the biggest national debt increases in US history.

I'm just not seeing how this argument plays out here. Can you 'splain?
