For what it is worth, I agree.I think Liberals saw the dangers of Nazism, so when numbers of islambashers increases and their voice gets louder the Liberals feels the need to stand up against them.
Still, that can only go so far.

What do you mean by “run to the aid of” here (we’ll gloss over the definition of “liberals” for now)? Are you suggesting that if someone is suffering or in danger, we should try to determine whether their social philosophy is similar enough to our own before considering helping them? Why do liberals always seem to run to the aid of Muslims when there is such a difference in values?
In my experience, Muslims, people variously identified as “liberal” and any other generic groupings will have a whole range of opinions and ideas about this kind of subject. I doubt there are many people in the world who would entirely agree with you in every way on all of them. I’m not convinced that inevitable lack of agreement should have any major impact in their general treatment of you as a human being though. For instance, if any of you Muslim RF members want to answer how you feel about abortion, homosexuality, and pornography and Liberal members of RF want to answer how you feel about those issues we could see what the connection is between the two. Let's compare and contrast and then try to answer why liberals seem to be all for Islam.
I don't know.I'm not applying my values to you. What do you have in common with Nancy Pelosi and Hillary Clinton?
That's what I said. There are no moral standards of the world. The moral standards are set in laws of different nations. In America, it's illegal to rape people and/or children. Worse for children. Our prisons are filled with many, often the worst crime as viewed by the prison population. And if you were to ask each of these raptists, I'd bet money the majority would say they were christian. No religions do not rape, people rape.
One has to look at the beliefs of various non-religious and religious sects to determine if they are outside of the moral standards of the world.
There are always gonna be some who will do that, but if they do they are violating one of the major tenants of liberalism. This group of people wants to take rights away from others. Period.
They are more of a dominant force here in the U.S. than probably any other group, so maybe they should convert to my Judaism or some other religions like Islam or Sikhism in order to feel what it's really like. And so much of the discrimination against these groups come at the hands of these evangelicals, so they can cry us a river. If what you say is true they ought to be defending evangelical Christians too, because they feel like people are attacking their right to practice their religion also.
Because we don't believe in according human rights only to those with whom we agree. It doesn't matter whether I like a religion or philosophy, the person who holds it is worthy of my respect, and the protection of the government. It's not just Muslims, except that they are whom the conservatives are currently attacking. When conservative ire was aimed at Jews in the 1920's and 30's, we defended Jews. If conservatives decide tomorrow that Hindus are the threat, we will stand with the Hindus. We stand with any who are unjustly oppressed, regardless of the reason. Why do liberals always seem to run to the aid of Muslims when there is such a difference in values?
