How long ago did you move from there?
I’ve done and seen a lot here.Chicago has it’s own set of assets that are wonderful and unique. Have you been seeking them out, or just pining for what you knew in the past?
Also, it’s easy to make weekend trips into the countryside around Chicago. My friend and I used to drive up to Manitowoc Wisconsin and take the SS Badger car ferry across Lake Michigan to Ludington, stay over night there, and drive down through rural Michigan and around the bottom of the lake back to Chicago the next day. Lots of very different environments too experience in just one weekend. A sea voyage, a drive through the forrest, and the distopisn hellscape of Garry Indiana all in two days.
But even in the city there were great things to see and do … terrific live music, theater, art events, you name it. And most of it inexpensive if you‘re willing to research and explore a little.
Things can change a LOT in that amount of time. I would definitely visit first, before you make up your mind.7 yrs
How long have you been there? Maybe your getting burned out on the city. That happens, too.I’ve done and seen a lot here.

I lived in Chicago for 23 years, and loved it. But eventually, as I got older, like you, I longed for the peace and quiet of my hometown and family back in PA.
