That seems more innocent.I have another, closer neighbour who giggles all day every day really loudly. I think she's taking something. My ex noticed it when he came.
Depending on your major that probably would be a good study on our fellow Apes.I have another, closer neighbour who giggles all day every day really loudly. I think she's taking something. My ex noticed it when he came.
I might need to buy a hi-fi just for this....Perhaps this would be a better choice. Find out when they sleep. Put the speakers up to the ceiling. Full volume and see if you get the results that you want:
I hate to admit it, but I am still listening to it. I should have searched for something more obnoxious. Add in some singing, though that might be considered cruel and unusual punishment.I might need to buy a hi-fi just for this....
Only problem with that is that your other neighbours get to suffer as well. IMO getting loud is a male dominance thing, so a show of force where he has to decide between conflict with your male friends or whether to take on some humility is your best bet.I played Nachbarn back at him once. It's German song you can look up on YT and then the lyrics.
I hate loud noise.I am in a student flat and there is a guy above me who likes to play music loud well into the morning.
It's always rap.
First, why is he so rude as to do this, and secondly.... most people listen to many genres of music. Why is it always rap that's blasted? Why is no-one blasting Chopin or Ava Max or The Beatles at 2 AM?
And why so bloody lacking in etiquette?
That would fit Lenny with his Wurlitzer and xylophone orchestra nicely.I might need to buy a hi-fi just for this....

It could be but as it's student housing it's a lot more wrangling and some people can be spiteful and come back at you.
Because when one is young playing one's music loudly makes them cool, and since they like it, everyone else should as well.I am in a student flat and there is a guy above me who likes to play music loud well into the morning.

It takes away my ability to sleep and be up for uni next morning at 9 AM. That's the issue. It is also just rude and I have no time for rudeness and selfishness.Because when one is young playing one's music loudly makes them cool, and since they like it, everyone else should as well.
I live in a single story building that as 24 studio apartments; 12 up one side and 12 up the other. I live in the very back corner of the last one that faces the woods. While I never hear my next door neighbor (the walls between the apartments are well soundproofed, but the wet walls at the backs of the apartments are not) I hear Austin and his girlfriend quote often, and they keep different hours than me, so they are often loud at night (and the only way I know his name is Austin is because I hear "Auuustiiiiin!!" from the girlfriend through the walls quite often.
I've come to terms with the fact that they're happy, they're young, and living their best life. I live with the noise and let them be. I only smile and offer a friendly greeting when I see them. Who am I to take away that joy they share?
Then I would probably knock on the door and share my concerns or say something in passing when I saw the person. It takes away my ability to sleep and be up for uni next morning at 9 AM. That's the issue. It is also just rude and I have no time for rudeness and selfishness.
I can't get into where he lives, I have no idea who he is. I'd have to say something to the front desk. I am not aiming to upset him; but the walls are so thin here I'd be baffled if he didn't know what he's doing, honestly. Then I would probably knock on the door and share my concerns or say something in passing when I saw the person.
Unless you've spoken to him, you're just making an assumption that he's rude when he may just be ignorant of the fact that what he's doing is bothering anyone.
Are the units numbered in such a way that you could know his unit number and have the front desk identify him for you?I can't get into where he lives, I have no idea who he is. Yes, but I don't know which unit is his. He's above me so I'll just need to ask.Are the units numbered in such a way that you could know his unit number and have the front desk identify him for you?
I would talk to the landlord as well, whoever that is. Normally aren't there some rules the people have to follow? In some cases you might not be allowed to have animals and so on. And I would guess it is the same with noise. It takes away my ability to sleep and be up for uni next morning at 9 AM. That's the issue.
