"Love thy enemy": Some thoughts on Paris

Maybe you can notify the Budhist monks in Birma, who have been slaughtering, lynching and even skinning men, women and children simply because they are muslim.
Cut the Budha peace crap, the images i have seen from Budhist are more horrific than the average Hollywood thriller.
This is Budhism:

this may be Buddhism for some, but it is NOT Buddhist practice for ME. There is a vast difference. It would be like me calling all Christians homophobic morons compared with Phelps.

I've sort of stopped thinking of the Hitlers and Bin Ladens as the cause of the problem. they are the leaders, but at the same time the figure heads for large groups of people who support or at least go along with what they said. their power ise dependent on other people following them. In a way, that sort of implies wars- as large movements of people- are inevitable. you only really get to chose what you do in a war situation, not whether we are actually in it and whether your life is at risk. you chose the best of the unpalatable choices perhaps. maybe its just me, but I'm not sure we are "sinking to their level" as collectively as a species we've all done this or worse before.
That is true and it follows the a sociological precept about followers that at the moment, I cannot recall the name of. A sort of follower mind set. Like girls in a clique who enact bullying because the leader has those ideals.

"Loving your enemies" is ridiculous. I would personally brutally murder every single member of ISIS and imprison those who support jihadism.

Keep in mind that he didn't provide any information about that video and that Muslims in Myanmar have been committing atrocities against Buddhists there.

How can Budhism teach you that killing anyone even an enemy is wrong amd at the same time teach other Budhists that its fine to kill torture?

You're just mad that I'm not gullible enough to accept random video clips with no information provided at face value. Boo hoo.
Sure! You are not passing any judgement, hell you even try to make it seem like they deserve it. Thats fine by me but don't lecture on peace, safety or terrorism:)

Dharma does not intrinsically teach that self-defense is wrong, but what might be done in self-defense could be a violation of the teachings. Not all Buddhists are the same, nor is everything done in the name of "Buddhism" necessarily follow the teachings altogether that closely. After all, Buddhists are people.

Just because some Muslims brutally oppress minorities in Pakistan, Iraq, Syria, etc doesn't mean that other Muslims can't be victims of similar oppression in other places.

I've no idea about that video, but there is plenty of evidence that the Rohingya are violently oppressed.

Do you have any more information about that video or not? I have had to correct a few Muslim posters on here before for posting videos and misrepresenting what they were.

Of course the followers of ISIS/ISIL do the killing but they are simply agents of Islam aka religion. Religion per se is to blame for 99.99% of the killings perpetrated by ISIS/ISIL.

Prove me wrong.

No. The video is fake bro, every video that shows non-muslims killing others is fake! You caught me redhanded damn!

Lets look at from a neutral position. France is throwing bombs on ISIS, ISIS attacks France in return. Nothing to do with Islaam, everything to do with simple warfare.
