Except those rioters didn't bother anyone's home or go into homes. They never attacked everyday people. They never threatened individuals or executed suspected traitors. They didn't force convert anyone to some cultish political ideology. They attacked businesses, symbols and things.
Comparing woke with Mao's cultural revolution is stupid. They're incomparable. However, January 6th is more like it. MAGA uses similar rhetoric and tactics like, "it'll be bloodless...if you [Democrats] go along with it". MAGA is Mao.

I would have voted for JFK, Sr. and RFK, Sr. in a heartbeat. The other Kennedys, probably not.
But not because how any of them looked. I almost voted for Ross Perot. He reminded me of Yoda if Yoda had been born in Texas. He was cute like Yoda. Perot had his head screwed on straight. I base my decision on a formula of issues, character, record, background. I don't give a damn what they look like. Probably one of a large few Americans who don't care about looks in a candidate. A lot of our worst presidents weren't bad looking or without fashion sense.

Trump's entire gig is a personality cult in my view.
Biden's policies where more popular with US citizens as polled, but since he is stepping aside it remains to be seen how democratic policy will be effected in my view.
But either way Democrats are less likely to come up with a stupid policy like police immunity as I see it.

To me a candidates name of a flag is idolatry. I despise Trump as a person, and can think of a dozen negative adjectives to describe him, but again policy first. The democrat party has move so far left it has left America, animated by woke insanity.
Policies are Trump's biggest shortcomings IMO.
- Willingness to subvert the Constitution to over-turn an election.
- Promises of tax cuts while increasing spending, leading to ever
more borrowing & increase of the deficit.
- Hostility to useful public health measures.
- Increasing Christian theocracy.
- Opposition to helping Ukraine defend against Russian invasion.
- Favoring Israel's genocide of Palestinians.
- Plan to persecute political foes in the media.
- Arguing in court that he can legally assassinate political rivals.
While not a policy, it certainly points to intention.
Conservatives would normally oppose most of those
policies. But embracing the man who pushes them
points to a cult following Trump. It's about their
leader....not their former values.
