Man made god:
1. He is in controls of everything.
2. Pray & rely on his never coming savior, true problem never been resolved.
3. Your mind is being locked & controlled
4. Suffers from loosing the control of your mind & unsolved problems.

Buddha:
1. Tells you the truth of how the universe works.
2. All problems will be resolved if you live according to the law of universe.
3. You are in control of your life, no one else.
4. You obtain the Freedom of mind by walking on the path to enlightenment.
5. Enlightenment brings you out from all sufferings & conditions.
6. Return yourself to the true source of universe.

It depends on how you define the term of "god".

If you define god as the only creator of universe and you are the son of god, then, you are being blocked, nothing can be done, that hazard perception will destroy your ability of self realization totally.

If you define god as the creator of the universe and all beings in the whole universe is part of god. Then, it is very possible for you to be liberated from the illusion of rebirth cycles.

And knowing that I think it makes the prior completely reasonable as well, speaking for myself.

The theme there is realizing there is no 'other'.
Just different routes taken.

If son or father makes no different, then, the man-made-bible should be discarded. The worshipping of god should be discarded as well.

But the concept of "god" needs to be very clear. There is true source of universe, but the source of the universe is not the creator, rather, we are all part of the source & energies which formed the whole planet.

Einstein's E=mc2 theory has already proved what buddha had taught in 2600 years ago, our life is beginless, endless & infinite. No creator, the whole universe & our life is running by the law of universe called the "cause & effect" which discovered by Buddha 2600 years ago.

please we must accept that others veiw things differently ,remember these are only words that we are using to decribe something that in its fullness can only be realised .

if we are to talk of the concept of god , we are talking of going very deep into realisation , without that depth of meditation we canot say what is god and what is not .

the god that a christian realises is the primal cause that buddhism refers to

god is the primal cause , and the primal cause is god .

lord buddha only taught what our minds could comprehend beyond that he gave us a method by which to reach full realisation .

that thread of life , that energy which comes from the primal cause is the breath of god , when buddha taught that life is an infinate cycle of cause and efect he spoke simplisticaly for our benifit , and what he taught was not so much a discovery but a revelation of his knowledge . einstein as you say developed a 'theory' but such theories are incomplete realisation , einstein only scratches the surface of all there is to be realised .

cause and effect is only the phenomena that we observe , beyond cause and efect is something much larger that we in this embodied state canot fully comprehend .

even buddha himself is only one of an endless cycle of buddhas who take embodied form in this realm not to discover but to reveal :namaste

therefore please let us not think of one realisation verses another , let us just rejoice in eachothers realisation :namaste

Agreed. I should have specified that I believe we all have to find our own truth.

Isn't Buddha man made too?

Buddha is human NOT god as he had already claimed. He is also the source of universe, like all beings.

Buddha was the awakened one not god, he was here to tell you truth of how the universe works.

Buddha is Atheist. Only an Atheist can attain enlightenment & nirvana, just like Buddha. Because of the openness to the universe & respect the equality of all beings which will enable atheist to reach mindfulness (See things as they are).
