"Marjorie Taylor Greene defends suspected Pentagon leaker, saying he is 'white, male, Christian, and anti-war'

  • Marjorie Taylor Greene defended the suspected Pentagon leaker, saying he is "white, Christian, and anti-war."
  • Greene said, "He told the truth about troops being on the ground in Ukraine and a lot more."
  • The leaked secrets show a range of intelligence about overseas US military involvement.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has defended the man suspected of leaking top-secret Pentagon documents, saying he is "white, male, Christian, and anti-war."

Writing on Twitter, Greene said that this makes Jack Teixeira "an enemy to the Biden regime."

Teixeira, a 21-year-old member of the Massachusetts Air National Guard's 102nd Intelligence Wing, was arrested on Thursday in "connection with an investigation into alleged unauthorized removal, retention, and transmission of classified national defense information," Attorney General Merrick Garland said on Thursday.

Greene said, "He told the truth about troops being on the ground in Ukraine and a lot more.

Ask yourself who is the real enemy?".....

The 'leaker' is a 'baby', 21 years old, a gamer in a chatroom with other gamers. The real question is
how was he able, at his low rank, able to access the material in the first place? He is/was stationed here
in Massachusetts and living on Cape Cod where he was arrested.

She is wrong. The leaked information is detrimental to the US, the war effort in Ukraine, China relations etc. This person needs to go to jail.

Although I believe he was the person that leaked the info, I am not 100% convinced he acted alone, but we will see if more comes out about how this was leaked and why he had access to the information.

Blowing up the Nordstream was not detrimental to Germany? And to Europe in general?

He told the truth about the US troops fighting a proxy war in Ukraine since 2014?
We Europeans already knew.

When I was in the army, some of us (conscripts) were assigned to duties that had access to areas with classified documents, albeit ones from decades ago. We were ordered to respect this and told we had been trusted with access that the vast majority of the country wouldn't have. I later realized that access to confidential documents was something many conscripts in other units also had as a part of their assignments, too. I'm assuming that higher-ups definitely see much more sensitive documents than the ones conscripts can see.

The leaked documents aren't even old; they're recent, extremely sensitive, and relevant to an ongoing war. If you're entrusted with that level of confidentiality and you know your country's—and other countries'—security may be on the line but still leak the documents anyway, you're either a traitor or a remarkably irresponsible individual. Defending the leak is reprehensible.

Because, somewhat surprisingly, 1 million or so people have access to classified information.

Exactly.
And there are either people who help people cover up misdeeds and there are Christians who expose them.
Because they don't want go to Hell...

Well...in those documents there can be the name of who blew up the Nordstream. Who knows ;)

The fact is that none of the leaks mentioned that, so maybe it's more relevant to focus on what has actually been leaked and not fill gaps with conspiracy theories and assumptions.

Does anyone know what the penalty for these charges would be under federal law? Or is this going to court-martial?

I am not understanding something.
Given that the US intelligence has never set up conspiracies, why are they so worried about some leaked documents?

That doesn't add up.

Because the leaks could damage relations with other countries who may now have less trust in the US' ability to keep intelligence confidential. They could also undermine some of Ukraine's plans for defense in the war.

No country would like to have its intelligence leaked. Why do you think such information is universally private to begin with? It's sensitive and not something the public needs to know or should know.

But...one of the reasons may also be that those secret pieces of information are kept absolutely secret because they contain the evidence of conspiracies of proxy war, of plans to destroy other nations.
If they don't let me read them, who can assure me they aren't?
I am expected to believe them on trust? No, I don't.

Those are mere assumptions. The leaks contained no evidence of a proxy war or a plan to destroy another nation. If you say that they do, you're making an unevidenced conclusion based on something you already believed.

I haven't read them.
When I read them, I can be convinced they do not contain that kind of evidence.

I don't trust media, I am sorry. I trust my eyes only.

Are you talking about troops deployed by the U.S. government or volunteers who joined the foreign legion?

And stop pretending to speak for all of Europe, especially when your fringe views run contrary to popular opinion.
