This post is follow-up on a previously mentioned topic -- "What Is A Perfect Master?" -- from MasterPath books:
But before going into these traits that are supposed to help in determining if ones master is perfect, it might be best to look at some highlights from the preamble in each chapter...leading up to these glorious lists.
So this serves as introduction to the concept of perfect masters and why they are to be objects of worship for unrealized souls.
Step 1: Open your mind to the possibility of a Godman.
Step 2: See Gary Olsen as the Godman.
Step 3: Find a sign that indicates its all true, which could be anything fortune cookies, dreams, relating to the concepts in the books, etc.
Step 4: Youre brainwashed.
Step 5: Pay dues the rest of your life.
Now for highlights from the beginning of the 2009 chapter...
Why do chelas believe there needs to be a middle man? Maybe because it says so in some old books/teachings that Gary appropriated. You know, just like another old book, The Bible, says its good to beat/stone your kids. And a square made from cloth has to be measured precisely or else God wont like it. And you cant even touch a woman during her time of the month. Yep, old books and teachings are really reliable.
But still, the best (worst) is yet to come. More on the characteristics of a Perfect Master soon...
Chapter 8 from MasterPath Volume III, 1990
and the current version:
Chapter 12 from MasterPath Volume II, 2009
These chapters both cover the traits of a Perfect Master.
But before going into these traits that are supposed to help in determining if ones master is perfect, it might be best to look at some highlights from the preamble in each chapter...leading up to these glorious lists.

Only the master knows this? Probably not. But it's a good tactic for convincing a new chela that they dont know squat about themselves, and the master has it all figured out.MP Volume III, 1990
Chapter 8, What Is A Perfect Master?
What the Master knows and the seeker does not know, is that the mind of the seeker will want to keep its sovereignty at all cost. There is a silent resistance here and it is this dilemma that keeps the curtain of illusion drawn over the third eye.
The conviction of the seeker therefore, should be one of investigation into the marks of a true Sat Guru, attempting some type of verification, to still and nullify the minds stubborn refusal to recognize anything greater than itself. This willingness to at least open mindedly view the possibility of a Godman, is usually all the Shabda Master needs to instill His veracity.
God forbid you get caught up in the minds antics like logic, reason, intellect, and thoroughly researching what youre getting yourself into. These are all bad for your soul. :slap:We must understand that the mind has an innate aversion for anything that wants to replace its rulership. It is willing to share the throne it is willing to acquire some understanding that will enhance its rulership it is willing to announce its right to existence, but it is not willing to let go. Only the Sound Current can ultimately bring about this condition. But, in order to get the Sound Current, we need the Master and to get the Master, we need to quell the mind and its antics.
This grossly underestimates the seeker in my opinion and everyone else for that matter. The majority of people on earth DO have minds that are open to the possibility of something greater...and some of these minds are completely convinced of it. Its called spirituality, or RELIGION. But since all religions besides MasterPath are thought to be lower and not representative of "truth" (yes, the exact same mindset as all of these "lower" religions! ), then maybe this obvious fact is ignored by chelas? Therefore, we are back to study, and the initial elements of provisional faith and investigation. Only when the mind is convinced, will it admit to the possibility of something greater than itself.
Now for highlights from the beginning of the 2009 chapter...
Going straight to the greatest God is impossible according to MasterPath. There's no way around it, you HAVE to have a human emissary. Again, this underestimates our power and also underestimates Gods greatness.MasterPath Volume II, 2009
Chapter 12, Whom Do We Worship?
It is very interesting to note that all of humankind worship something other than themselves. The human intellect and awareness are not capable of adequately rendering proper devotion to ones own spiritual Godhood. Every individual therefore worships something less than oneself or seemingly greater than oneself.
Anami does not wish for us to worship either of the above possibilities, for both have their restrictions as well as their benefits, even though they exist on polar sides of the continuum. Anamis purpose is for the soul within the individual to eventually worship oneself as a realized Master.
Actually, it's pretty crystal clear. Look at your mind, intellect, and instincts as the enemy, and then you will realize that Gary Olsen is a Godman, a Perfect Master. If you dont believe it, then youre just too dense and close-minded, and your soul will be trapped here for millions of years. :help:Thus we find humankind in a quandary, for to worship anything lower than oneself is maya, suicide, and regression, and to worship something higher than oneself is illusory, dubious, and abstract The ultimate answer is for a seeker to take counsel from a Living Master, but these are just words, and the neophyte needs further explanation in order to make any sense of it all.
But still, the best (worst) is yet to come. More on the characteristics of a Perfect Master soon...
