Well, it's very similar to hunger: if you let this basic instinct control you, you could get harmed by it.

The ones I've heard talk about it say that it's not the act of masturbation that's the sin,but the things your thinking about while doing it. I think about it like this " would a God who created the Earth,Space, humans, all the creatures of the earth and air etc etc, really care if you pull your pud a little bit?" That's funny, i don't recall anybody trying to defend anything. Specially that this thread is not about Islam nor muslims, you just can't control your hatred towards it.

I don't hate Islam - I critisise it.
I'll criticise anything that attempts to restrict the freedom of others. Especially women.

Self gratification is weaved into the fabric of our being. It is the opposite of love. When self gratification is the rule of our life nothing is acceptable. When benevolence is our ultimate preference, all actions that proceed from it are pleasing to God.

I agree with you about the barbaric practices we hear about coming from other cultures. Fortunately, there are Muslims who also agree with us.
