Median Income Down $6500 If Biden Wins

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
I'm old enough to remember when the WSJ Opinion pages were saying that Obamacare would cost jobs and ruin the economy.

Somehow when Trump took office in 2017, unemployment was at a record low and the stock market was at record highs.

By the way, speaking of things that will hurt GDP: COVID-19 will cost our economy many trillions of dollars. Trump literally has no plan to safely and effectively reopen the economy. Biden does. It involves mobilizing a large number of contact tracers and using clear guidance to bring back consumer confidence. Read about it here:
The Biden Plan for an Effective Re-Opening that Jumpstarts the Economy | Joe Biden for President: Official Campaign Website

We can debate the merits of Biden's plan, but, it seems pretty common-sense to me. There is nothing radical about it. Trump's plan is to just put "Open" signs on all businesses and hope for the best. For Trump to not even have a plan is astonishing.
Oh wonderful. A non businessman laying out his regime objectives for business.

False. The economy was booming before COVID thanks to Trump. His policies improved life for the middle class in many ways.
Trump inherited an economy on an upward swing. And now it's in shambles and he doesn't have a plan to pick up the pieces and rebuild.

Trump inherited a booming economy.

Unemployment was so low during Obama’s eighth year in office, that Trump claimed without evidence (as per his custom) that the Labor Bureau figures were fake. Immediately after taking office, Trump bragged about how low those same unemployment figures were.

Like everything else Trump inherited, he managed it poorly.

He will be the first President since Hoover to lose jobs during his term. And he has no plan to reopen the economy safely and effectively. Unfortunately our country can’t just deny reality until we go through bankruptcy like his many other businesses - we need an actual plan.

Trump business history isn't an example of success. Biden is also more receptive to expert advice, something Trump has been loath to do.
Forecast calender. Lol.
The entire OP is a "forecast" predicted by a group hoping for the Dems don't win because they are scared what that may mean for their profits.

It's always a good idea to assess the effectiveness of presidential leadership on an economy at least a year out from when their policies were enacted, as well as consider the role of congress and external factors that have a far greater impact on these things than the executive office.

I'm waiting to make my assessment because of that. That said, I've noticed no such boom in my city or my employment sector. In fact, recent events have basically erased a year's worth of raises - raises that barely kept up with increased cost of living. This will probably continue the next couple years too, meaning I and many others in higher ed will be making less than we did four years ago. Oh boy, I sure am feeling that improved life!

That is based on nothing but prejudice against the poor.
Conservatives always focus on the brown/black people. When a conservative says something about "free handouts" and "welfare," they're referring directly to black/brown people.
They even joke about it.
Conservatives aren't referring to white people when they make that claim. Even though most white people getting free handouts in America are conservative.
The Kings of Projection with a dash of racism/prejudice.

They do. They exist. I've personally known them. It is a prejudice that has long existed.
Poor white people do exist. Millions of them. But when a conservative refers to "welfare queens" and "freeloaders," they're not referring to poor white people.

Trump didn’t inherit a “booming economy.” He inherited a slowly recovering economy then took it places Obama and others claimed could not be done.

It was moving up then grew tremendously under Trump. It’s already recovering from COVID, and Wall Street knows the economy will be better under Trump. WSJ also reported that people will have less money in their pockets if Biden wins.

And the WSJ reports you’ll make less under Biden. You excited about that?

Yes, they do. I've seen/heard them do it. I've known Conservatives who do it.

That's what Conservatives do. Liberals also tend to predict doom and gloom should a Conservative win. Conservatives though were definitely wrong when the predicted Obama would make things worse.
It was moving up then grew tremendously under Trump.
There was no remarkable increase under Trump. It was basically the same steady pace that began under Obama.
