Do you think the moon landing was shot in a studio or on the moon and why or why not?
Sorry, freethinker, I'm not even going to try to persuade people that it really happened. If some think that it was shot in a studio there isn't likely anything I can say that will dissuade them from their delusions.

I am with YmirGF on this one. I see no reason to try to persuade people that the moon-landing really happened; just like I don't feel like working through the process of why we know the Earth isn't flat and why we are not the centre of the Universe.

Whoa, I'm not saying it didn't happen. I feel the same way you all do, I just wanted to see if there was anyone here who thought it was a conspiracy.

In theory, people who subscribe to this obviously do not believe that computers or the Internet are real either. :cover:

I wasn't aware that politician's landed on the moon. How terribly fascinating.

Yes - Kennedy broke Mandela out of his Robben Island prisoncell and together with Bob Dylon hold the first 46664 - concert, pot is legal there - that is why they walk so funny.

And you thought he was in Vietnam!!!

Considering that many theories on how they filmed in a studio, such as slowing the tape down, playing stuff backwards, multiple lighting sources, and so on, have all been debunked and have failed time and time again to replicate a lunar landing, and since Russians didn't have anything to so about it, I'm guessing that more than likely it happened.

:facepalm:

The fact is, I am not aware of anyone besides those on the moon that know for sure they were there. We simply have to trust the evidence that they were there. As such there is lots of evidence to say they were there, but in the end, it is a trust thing, with lots of evidence.

Surprisingly enough, I have met a couple electricians who think the entire space program is a hoax. And I live in Florida, and can see the space shuttle launch from my house. All I have to do is look east, and you can pretty much see the launch clearly (if there are no clouds) from anywhere in central Florida.

Their main argument was that nobody could live outside the atmosphere, because radiation from the sun would kill you. They would not listen to any contrary information. Some people are just thick headed like that! :D

I though the wind couldnt blow the flag(because there is no wind in space) and shadows were in places they shouldnt be?

That's all been debunked. The flag only moved when the astronauts planted it, and for a short while afterwards due to inertia. It also looks wavy as there is a wire mesh inside it to hold it straight, without it the flag would just go limp, the astronauts fiddled about with the mesh to give it a rippled, and thus more realistic, look.

There's also the picture that the Japanese lunar probe took recetly of the blast off site;

It happened. If anyone who doesn't think it happened wants to explain their reasons for thinking it was a hoax, I'll explain why that "evidence" is wrong.

Nope, that's all okay.

If I remember correctly, the shadows are because of some lumps in the ground that were invisible in the pictures, and the flag floated because of the rotation in zero-grav...

The MythBusters explained it better. lol
