Most popular christian figure?

Who do you think is the most popular figure in the protestant christian world?
In the catholic world, I will think the pope is such a figure.
However, in the protestant world, who do you think is the most popular christian?
By most popular, I mean, when you mention his or her name, almost everyone knows about him/her.

If dead people will do, then it's probably Martin Luther. Otherwise, my opinion is that it's Rowan Williams, the archbishop of Canterbury.

Sadly, Billy Graham is probably such a figure as well, and possibly even more well known than Rowan Williams. But Williams is more recognizable to me though.

I have never heard of him... o_O

Mind explaining why that is sad? I have heard the name before, but I don't know anything about his actual beliefs.
I hope no one mentions Mother Theresa as she was misguided in the extreme.
How so? Again, I don't know anything about these people other than their names XD. I would like to know what's wrong with these people so I don't end up immitating them D=.
That would depend if Jesus is a protestant. :p
He sure wasn't catholic XD. Actually, I think he was Jewish...

Well now, wouldn't the most popular figure in the Protestant sect of Christianity, all Christianity for that matter, be Satan? Even if not everyone knows who Rowan Williams was they all know the big red guy.

You didn't say whether you were thinking of modern day Protestantism or Protestantism dating back to its beginnings. If we're talking all of Protestantism, I'd say Martin Luther. If we're talking about today, Billy Graham.

Could you specify? Are we talking currently, as in living figure? Non-biblical figure?

If you're going to make fun of Christianity, at least do so in an appropriate thread and provide an actual argument instead of just pointlessly associating us with an evil capitalist invention that's used yearly to commercialize our Christmas. Here at RF, we actually try to provide information when we have arguments instead of just hurling insults and names at eachother.
:)

I've seen that action figure at Hastings before =D. It felt pretty good to actually have toys based off of religion, it shows that there's still a market for Christian children.

One would appreciate it if you could, at the very least, follow your own advice...
