There are only 2 Robin Hood movies.....Mel Brooks & Errol Flynn versions.
No others exist....anymore.

You're obviously in denial, but I think that's understandable under the circumstances.

From Robin Hood with the one and only Errol Flynn

Bad guy: "This man speaks treason!!!!"

Robin Hood: "Fluently".

This thread surely took off. I knew I wasn't alone in disliking certain films.

I do think 'love to hate' is another category than disliking. I will actually watch "Eyes Wide Shut" again (and again), just to rag on it. I can't say that about "About Schmidt" as the desire to go back and give it another chance is very low.

Anyway, here are films mentioned on this thread by others that I dislike, but just not as much as my top 6.
- Last Tango in Paris (I'm 50/50 on, but not going to watch it again I'm sure)
- There Will Be Blood (I love Daniel Day Lewis, and his acting here is great, but the story is not that good.)
- Crash (ripoff of Grand Canyon, IMO)
- Avatar (ripoff of Dances With Wolves)
- Magnolia (see M-Ball comments from earlier, I agree with that take)
- 2001 (This is another that I'm 50/50 on. I've given it several chances, and I think if it were another director besides Kubrick, I may like it more than not)
- The Postman (could be in bottom 10)

And here are films mentioned by others on this thread that I actually liked.
- Alice In Wonderland (Disney version - likely top 50 for me)
- Wizard of Oz (is top 20 for me)
- Hudsucker Proxy (can understand why people don't like this, but I did)
- Pulp Fiction (while I like it, I'm always in comparison battles with this and "Reservoir Dogs" and always losing since everyone and their mother thinks Pulp Fiction is like the best movie ever. Ugggh.)
- Star Wars prequels (Seeing that I've already publicly acknowledged that Ep. III is best of the saga, I'll be glad to note that again here)
- Donnie Darko (top 50 for me)
- Dances With Wolves (top 25)
- Waterworld (top 50)
- Robin Hood (with Costner. I can tell others are on a 'love to hate Costner' kick, but as you can see I definitely like some of his films. Though Robin Hood wouldn't be even top 100 for me).

Interview with a vampire.

Only went to it because my girl friend at the time wanted to see Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise. Its not a movie your going to get lucky at.

Would not recomend it and will never see it again.

I forgot about 2001: A Space Odyssey. One of the worst movies of all-time. If I had not been able to fast forward through long stretches of it, I don't think I would have made it through.

It's an amazing movie, no where near as good as the book but still a good film.

I hate Quentin Tarantino movies. Seriously.

I have a love/hate relationship with Get Him to the Greek, which I know is random as it isn't a Quentin Tarantino movie.

Two words man--Robin Hood. Nothing can ever make up for that.

I LOVE that movie! ^_^

I also did like Avatar's story. I haven't seen Dances With Wolves, though, so that's probably why.

Then again, I didn't even notice its hype, so I saw it as a dumb action movie; while watching it, my words to my girlfriend were "Ferngully done right."

It was on fire when I laid down on it.
Oh my - so far I totally agree with so many of these movies:

Eyes Wide Shut - BLECH! I knew the moment I finished watching this egotistical, weird movie that Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman would be divorced soon. No marriage can contain that much dysfunctional ego.

There Will Be Blood - GAG. I also hated "Gangs of New York" for the same reason - which was the nasty, sour general mood. I don't care HOW artsy they call these movies - both were just downright unpleasant.

Sweet November - depressing, saccharine, insipid. YUCK.

The Road - just kill me now and get it over with.

The Big Lebowski - what a slob! What a waste of two hours of my life!

2001 A Space Odyssey - Shut up, Hal. Please - just shut up.

OK - those are ones that I agree on which have already been mentioned in this thread. Then there are others...

Gorillas In the Mist - Sigourney Weaver with a potty mouth and a perpetual snarl on her face.

Conan the Barbarian - for some weird reason, I've actually suffered thru this movie AT THE THEATER FIVE TIMES. I kept getting caught up in groups of people who all decided to go see it. The companion of fools will be destroyed - or at the least, be dragged to stupid movies over and over again.

Apocalypse Now - for some weird reason, I always fall asleep midway thru and wake up and wonder why Marlon Brando is wearing that weird thing around his head and living in the jungle.

The Last of the Mohicans - another one that puts me sound asleep. I fall asleep while those guys are meeting up in the cabin plotting something - and wake up about the time the woman jumps off the cliff. Not really sure what happens in between.

Superbad - super moronic and super immature. Super bad decision on my part to try to make it through this one.

The Good Shepherd - this one was SO BAD that my husband and I got up three forths of the way through the movie and just walked out. Actually, they had a technical glitch and the lights came on for a minute or two in the theater while they fixed it. My husband and I looked at each other and simultaneously said, "let's get out of here." Someone asked us as we were leaving, "But don't you want to know how it ends?" We laughed and my husband said, "Well, I'd have to actually CARE how it ends - and I am so bored I just don't...I just don't care."

I am sure there are many more...give me a few minutes to come up with some!

Oh - TWELVE MONKEYS. Besides wearing me out, it was sort of gross.

Same with Seven - gross and macabre and pretty disgusting. Any movie that ends with someone's head in a paper bag has got serious issues.

I hate all slasher movies. Every one of them.

Ugggh....say it ain't so!

Apocalypse Now on list of movies you love to hate (or dislike)? Yikes. I have that as top 5 for me.

And Groundhog Day? Also one of my all time favorites, with a brilliant script.

Different strokes....

Well, I expected to catch some flak about Last of the Mohicans - and Apocalypse Now. I don't know what it is about those two movies. I'm quite sure they're good - but they put me to sleep.

Oh, here's another one that I love to hate - and that makes people mad when I say that: Moulin Rouge. SHUT THE HELL UP, YOU TWO - YOU'RE WEARING ME OUT. And quit exxagerating everything. That movie is like Mary Poppins on crack.

That's funny. I've gotten lucky every time with that one.

Thought of two more:

Angel Heart (that movie scared the crap out of me)

Being John Malkovich - for some weird reason, I felt unwholesome and dirty after watching that movie.

Mephisto - I guess I'm not intellectual enough to appreciate it.

I also really like some movies that have gotten lots of negativity - Natural Born Killers for starters, and Burn After Reading. Go figgur.
