I watched "Lucky # Slevin" last night - that was an interesting flick. A little difficult to follow at first, as things are happening fast and before you know why. But as you get into it you begin to make some sense of it, and in the end all is revealed.

I'd recommend it, but note that it's violent. Not a family film.

GIRLSTOWN (MST3K version)
DVD/ B&W/ Approx. 90 Mins./ NR/ 1959
Chip is killed accidentally while trying to rape a blonde girl, who runs. Silver becomes the number one suspect even though she has an alibi, but due to previous brushes with the law she's sent to Girls Town, a home for young women in trouble with the law which is run by nuns. Silver is rebellious and causes trouble at the school, and her friend Sarafina totters near the brink of self-destruction because of an infatuation with a young singer. Meanwhile Chip's father hires a detective to find out the truth, and Chip's friend Fred gets Silver's sister in trouble at a drag race. Silver has a lot of problems all right.

Starring Mamie Van Doren (WOW!!!), Paul Anka, Mel Torme (The Velvet Fog) and the Platters. I like to bring this one out every once in awhile, the MST3K boys do a bang up job ridiculing this turkey and did I mention that Mamie van Doren is in it?

I am watching the "Rock" in the Gridiron Gang. It's corny at times, but it has some really good scenes in it. I love how the kids learn to exchange hate and violence for a sport. Of course, violence seems to follow them wherever they go.

Vacancy.:( I wish I wouldn't have watched the whole thing but I'm one of those that even if I start a bad movie I just have to finish it. Like dragging your eyes over broken glass. Okay, maybe not.

Hard to believe it was directed by the same man who directed Kontroll...which is an excellent movie.

Done here.
Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle.

Okay, so I'm not on the cutting edge. I just saw this movie the other day for the first time. I love it.

I just watched a movie called "Idiocracy" with Luke Wilson. While MUCH of the flick was vapid, the very beginning was way too funny. Using evolution theory, they showed how America was just getting dumber. I am not sure they were too far off, either! :D

Never apologize for not immediately seeing a movie, in essence, movies are celuloid time capsules just waiting for us to choose and preview them at our convenience.

And besides, if it is anyone who is going to feel sorry, it might as well be me.

Stripperella Season 1 Uncensored (2 Disc Set)
DVD/ Color/ 308 Mins./ NR/ 2003
Baywatch" babe Pamela Anderson provides the voice of Erotica Jones in Stan Lee's titillating animated series about a stripper turned superhero. Season 1 finds Jones chasing nefarious characters such as Dr. Cesarean and Pushy Galore; crushing villains with her "Scissor-ella" thighs; and uncovering the truth with her lie-detector breast implant. Guest voices include Mark Hamill, Kid Rock, Jon Cryer, Jon Lovitz and Andy Dick.

Can anyone else tell it may be time for me to take a break from Netflix?

Ravenous.

Love this movie. Dark humor, great music and stars one of my favorite actors Robert Carlyle. It is a bit long but still a great, twisted movie. Plus, I feel it is a truer vampire movie (though not actually having any vampires) than all the cliched vampire flicks out there.

I just watched Run Lola, Run (Lola rennt, in German) this weekend. It was really good. It was pretty funny, visually arresting, and had a captivating plot, too.

An excellent movie. Franka Potente was gorgeous in that movie.

The actor, Moritz Bleibtreu, starred in a movie (Das Experiment) based on that infamous experiment in Stanford if you are interested.

Indeed, I'm quite interested. Thanks for the tip.

Resident Evil: Extinction

After watching Paul W.S. Anderson's last two attempts to butcher this franchise, I was planning on avoiding this at all costs....unfortunately, my girlfriend loves the movie series and I owed her for forcing her to see Superbad with me.

If you're a fan of the RE games series, you will be even more dissapointed than the last two times. The only relation this movie has with the game is the title and zombies. The plot and all but two of the characters, have absolutley nothing to do with any of the RE games.

Congrats Paul W.S. Anderson....you've earned yourself a place next to Uwe Boll.
