Citizen Mod
The Dark Knight
Theater/ Color/ 152 Mins./ PG-13/ 2008
Batman and James Gordon join forces with Gotham's new District Attorney, Harvey Dent, to take on a psychotic bank robber known as The Joker, whilst other forces plot against them, and Joker's crimes grow more and more deadly.

I think it is important to mention to everyone that I never liked Momento.

Batman: Gotham Knights
DVD/ Color/ 75 Mins./ PG-13/ 2008
Anime-inspired direct-to-DVD anthology film. Comprised of six short stories, from diverse creators, including Academy Award-nominated Josh Olsen (A History of Violence), Batman Begins writer David S. Goyer, and comics scribe Brian Azzarello. It's planned for a release window of two to four weeks prior to the release of The Dark Knight, and would bridge the gap between Batman Begins and The Dark Knight.

After the "Bale-y Goat Gruff" voice acting of The Dark Knight, there was a moment of relief to listen to the familiar and competent voice overs of Kevin Conroy in this direct-to-video animated Batman movie. But even with the talent of Mr. Conroy and the strength of Japanese artists and directors this film could only be described as sub-par.

I saw Mama Mia last night and it is fabulous.

Going to see the X-flies this Thursday and I hope that it's as good or better than the first. I'm expecting it to be much better...

I saw The Mummy 3 this weekend. It was about what I expected; Not a spectacular film and not nearly as good as the first one, but certainly entertaining.

Violet.
Saw Sixth Sense again last night,
(after a few years)
but this time with my daughter.

A fabulous fabulous movie.

It stunned me more the first time,
and moved me more the second.

She loved it too. I knew she would. :D

Citizen Mod
HANCOCK
DVD/ Color/ 92 mins./ PG-13/ 2008
John Hancock (Will Smith) is an unhappy and reluctant superhero who is living in his own world. For some unknown reason, Hancock is depressed and has started drinking very heavily. He has saved many lives in Los Angles over the years, but in doing so, he has no regards for damaging buildings, trains, roads, cars, or anything that gets in his way to get the job done. The last time he captured several criminals, it cost the city $9 million to fix the damages. The public has had enough of Hancock, and they want him to stop or go to another city.

Wasn't bad, lost a little steam in the third act.

Bodhisattva in Recovery
Painted Lady with Helen Mirren. Highly recommended.
(4 out of 4 Satanic Hampsters, held high)

The Borne Identity and The Borne Supremecy. Matt Damon is awesome.
(4 out of 4, wildly enthusiastic Satanic Hamspters, held high)

I don't know if the third Bourne movie is out yet on DVD but I may dabble in all three of them once they are in my possession.

I remember Matt Damon in an interview when the Bourne Supremacy came out that if they made a fourth, the title would be "the Bourne Redundancy".

We just saw Elizabeth: The Golden Age and got partway through Atanarjuat (The Fast Runner). The first was pretty good, the second is interesting but kinda slow so far.

Man I loved Atanarjuat.... :D

I've been watching a lot of Red vs Blue lately. I don't know if that counts though as its more of a show put into movie format. :jiggy:

Kitten With A Whip (MST3K version)
DVD/ B&W/ 82 Mins./ NR/1964
Jody (Ann-Margret), a juvenile delinquent, escapes from reform school by stabbing a matron and attempting to burn down the building and then takes refuge in a house owned by an ambitious politician David Patton (John Forsythe). Despite the hellcat's ample charms, the would-be officeholder wants nothing to do with her and tries to drive her away. She responds by shortly returning to his house accompanied by a gang of delinquent pals and taking him hostage. A sudden act of violence causes more trouble, leading Jody and her gang to hijack David and force him to drive a getaway car to Mexico.

Movie delivered what it promised. I got a kitten (Ann Margret) and she did have a whip!!!
