DIABOLIK (MST3K version)
DVD/ Color/ 90 Mins./ NR/ 1968
In psychedelic swinging 60s style, the dreaded thief (and killer) Diabolik wreaks havoc on a generic European country for his own financial gain and amusement. He shares an extravagant underground lair (and a giant bed of money) with his curvaceous, superficial girlfriend...who uses her awesome powers of wig-wearing to help Diabolik kill innocent people and steal billions from the government. Nonetheless, Diabolik is the "hero" of the film because he must face off against bumbling cops and revenge-seeking mafiosos.

I am currently watching "The Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living And Became Mixed-Up Zombies".

It wins my award for most annoying theme song (even more annoying than "Jesus Christ: Vampire Hunter").

Edit: By the way, the "incredibly strange creatures" are 1960's teenagers.

I still think Ray Dennis Dteckler a.k.a. Cash Flagg (Jerry) looks like a young Nicholas Cage. If you are not already sufferering psychological damage from this movie, may I suggest that you catch the MST3K version of TISCWSLABMUZ.

I feel asleep half-way through. I agree, though, he looked like a young Nicholas Cage.

I just saw "Tropic Thunder" the other day. Very confused as to how to react. It was hilarious! BUT----it was so over the top, and yet the entire movie was making fun of movies that are over the top----it was making fun of itself.

....So, on the one hand it made a complete mockery of the typical overblown Hollywood films, it is one of them! and thats why im confused....if I like it, then I am supposed to not like it.

...I think....

I like it!!! :D

Citizen Mod
Village Of The Giants (MST3K version)
DVD/ Color/ 83 Mins./ Rated-WOW!!/ 1965
"Genius" (Ron Howard) accidentally invents "goo" which causes living things to rapidly grow to an enormous size. Seeing an opportunity to get rich, some delinquent teenagers steal the "goo" and, as a result of a sophomoric dare, consume it themselves and become thirty feet tall. They then take over control of the town by kidnapping the sheriff's daughter and dancing suggestively.

A nice segment of the MST3K version includes an original song homage to legendary musician Frank Zappa.

When caught watching "Casablanca" at his desk, Fingal is required to undergo rehabilitation therapy called "doppling." Doppled patients find their minds transferred into the bodies of animals for a new outlook on life (and for a number of amusing nature documentary sequences narrated by Julia). However, Fingal's body is misplaced and he is transferred into a computer while the body is located.

Le plongeur avec attitude...
Tank Girl was a wonderful, albeit mindless romp through a future where "the man" has seemed to win out... at least until he is confronted by a prettier and brighter "Tank Girl".
