Muslims only: Does Islam support creation or evolution?

Considering the fact that Allah clearly states he created Adam from clay and water in Paradise among the angels, Ahmadi's believe that we evolved from some kind of animal.

Who made everything He has created good and He began the creation of man from clay.
(As-Sajda, Chapter #32, Verse #7)

Then He made his offspring from semen of despised water (male and female sexual discharge).
(As-Sajda, Chapter #32, Verse #7)

Despite knowing much about the Ahmadiyya viewpoint neither learning anything about evolution, it will and must be refuted. The excellent work of attempting a refutation from such a position is found:

Islam-Quran-Evolution

And

Is Mirza Ghulam Ahmad really Imam Mahdi?

Firstly, I have no idea what you're trying to say. I can't seem to be making sense of your statement due to the way it is worded.

Second, the verses are clear. You don't need any commentary to understand them. Yet you disagree with their message.

Do you want me to make a poll and ask everyone on the forum whether their message is clear or not?

Not only that, it cannot get any clearer than the following verse regarding how mankind came into being :
"O mankind! reverence your Guardian-Lord, who created you from a single person, created, of like nature, His mate, and from them twain scattered (like seeds) countless men and women;- reverence Allah, through whom ye demand your mutual (rights), and (reverence) the wombs (That bore you): for Allah ever watches over you." (Al-Qur'an 4:1)

The common factor between animals and human is that their creator is one,and other things is nonsense and just kind of human philosophy.

God created the whole universe from one piece and then all planets are different than our earth which was designed for life.

If He so wills, He can do away with you and bring forth a new mankind [in your stead]: (35:16)

So the verse also confirm a new mankind and not one evolved from the Abe's anscestor.

Please read this verse :
"And We have certainly created you, [O Mankind], and given you [human] form. Then We said to the angels, "Prostrate to Adam"; so they prostrated, except for Iblees. He was not of those who prostrated. [ Allah ] said, "What prevented you from prostrating when I commanded you?" [Satan] said, "I am better than him. You created me from fire and created him from clay." (Al Qur'an 7:11-12)

Please note the [O Mankind] in bracket. If the 'you' is indeed, referring to Mankind, then Adam(pbuh) is certainly the first man created. Because it would make no sense whatsoever to say that Allah is talking about the creation of mankind but then asked the angels to prostrate before Adam(pbuh) (even if he is not the first of the mankind). Hence, it is talking about the beginning of mankind with the Creation of Adam(pbuh).

Now, if you would say that the 'you' in the verse is referring to 'people' in general or at the time of revelation or whoever is reading it as in you and me, then the 'Then' in that verse would make no sense because it would be like Allah(swt) created every other people(including you and me) and THEN asked the angels to prostrate before Adam(pbuh).

Allah(swt) knows best.

Honestly, I am not exactly sure as to what you are trying to say here. Could you please elaborate ? Are you saying it is possible that we humans might have come from Apes based on the verse you have quoted ?

Of course not,Not from Apes.

The verse is clear that god can bring a new mankind if he wishs and not evolving a mankind, there is no one verse
in the quran to show that human was evolved from Apes.

All clear now... I am sorry I misunderstood your point ... I was kind of surprised to think you would mean what I thought ;-) ...

Do you know that Evolution does not state we descended from Apes? This is a common misunderstanding. Although, I differ on the mainstream evolution view of our ancestral relation being close in the chain.

Also, I find it interesting that on one end people here believe that some Jews were turned into Apes (I disagree on interpretation), so I would have assumed they would also be comfortable with Apes being turned into Humans over a long period of time.

It is not about what we feel comfortable with - we believe whatever is stated in the Qur'an. The Qur'an only states that some people were turned into Apes as a punishment - we are free to take it literally or otherwise. But it doesn't state that Apes were turned into Humans over a long period of time, so we don't believe that; rather it states that we came into existence in a different fashion. And why add the 'turned into Humans over a long period of time' ? I could understand, if you stated as a counter to humans turning to apes as a punishment, that God could also turn some Apes to Humans as a reward for them - sure, God can do anything He wants - but that still wouldn't mean that all humans came from Apes.

Here you are:

Who made everything He has created good and He began the creation of man from clay.
(As-Sajda, Chapter #32, Verse #7)

And indeed, We created man from dried (sounding) clay of altered mud.
(Al-Hijr, Chapter #15, Verse #26)

And (remember) when your Lord said to the angels: "I am going to create a man from dried (sounding) clay of altered mud.
(Al-Hijr, Chapter #15, Verse #28)

[Iblis (Satan)] said: "I am not the one to prostrate myself to a human being, whom You created from dried (sounding) clay of altered mud."
(Al-Hijr, Chapter #15, Verse #33)

And (remember) when We said to the angels: "Prostrate yourselves unto Adam." They prostrated themselves except Iblis (Satan). He said: "Shall I prostrate myself to one whom You created from clay?"
(Al-Isra, Chapter #17, Verse #61)

Here's your answer to that regarding the name, 'Adam'.

I'm sorry that video speaks of the Ahmdi view, that's an invalid view from a Muslim perspective. Nice try though.

You have the least backing for your beliefs yet you arrogantly refute everything through personal attack. Dwell in your fallacies for ever, never will a person with reason find any satisfaction in your arguments.

Since you have no knowledge of evolution I would ask you not to share your lack of knowledge with others.

Go read a book please, also learn the reasoning for your beliefs. There is no interest in your speculation. I would rather head to fox news.

That is like America is looking to find a solution for AIDS and Islam comes and brings the Qur'an and says to stop pre-marital intercourse and all America says is, "I'm sorry, that practice speaks of the Islamic view, that's an invalid view from an American perspective. Nice try though."
