Mustaches. Are they worth it?

About three months ago, I started growing a mustache. I haven't had one in 38 years. I sort of like it. It has become the equivalent of a fidget spinner on my upper lip. I fidget with it.

But I am finding it annoying too. The way some of the whiskers will turn up and tickle my nose is incredibly annoying and I'm going to scratch it off my head at night.

Should I keep it?

How many of you like mustaches or have them? What problems have you had or is it just me.

Whether or not you keep it is up to you. I have an issue with my beard itching; but I just deal with it.

I have a mustache, as I've had for about 40 years now. I tried shaving it off a couple of times, but it grew back.

I don't have a beard, though. I've tried growing one, but it wasn't turning out right. Or it didn't look right.

The mustache can be a problem if I don't trim it, such as when drinking something or eating soup.

It would probably take some work to grow a mustache like this:

Or this:

Of course, that may be taking it a bit too far.

Real men have beards.

Oh good grief!

I grew one when I was younger, but it didn't like it much then. I like it more now, except it makes me look older and it may be interfering with my CPAP.

I can grow a decent looking mustache, but I don't do to well with beards. It ends up looking like a strap that is holding my hair on.

It would take time and the inclination.

Certainly true.

I have had beards several different times, but was never satisfied with how they looked. I remember very well the itching. Not the most pleasant part of having a beard, but that wasn't what ended it for me.

Suck it up Buttercup! Good grief! Next thing you'll be on about personal hygiene.

(I've been looking for a reason to post Bon Scott pre AC/DC).

Interesting. I don't think I have ever seen Bon Scott pre-AC/DC.

I didn't see any beards or mustaches in that video. But that one dancer in the background looked a little Bob Ross from the hair.

Should have waited for Fraternity. See the benefits of a beard

I don't think I know who Bob Ross is.

ETA: Of course I know who Bob Ross is, the happy little tree dude. Sorry dementia

He moved from the bubble gum pop to prog rock playing recorder for Fraternity before AC/DC.

He had a beard in that one too.

I find it funny, after watching the videos you linked, I followed one of the links that was offered at the end and started listening to symphonic arrangements of Iron Maiden songs. Rather enjoyable really.

Okay! Okay! Join AC/DC, please!
Before I go to bed though, I have to mention the Easybeats and another AC/DC connection within their ranks. To be honest, I like their music, but it may not be your cup of tea. The connection is the two guitarists.

George Young is the older brother of Malcom and Angus. George and the other guitarist Harry Vanda are great song writers and the vocalist Stevie Wright was a great singer but had addiction issues and had a sad lonely death.
