So, still in my Trump phase and asked the Holy-Spirit for enlightenment about it.
What he seemed to have shown me was "the beauty and the beast" opening where the prince turns away the ugly beggar, and the beggar was actually beautiful in disguise and his whole mansion had a curse placed upon it, and the prince of course becomes a beast (if you have that opening scenario from the cartoon could you share it.)?
Well, it seemed Donald Trump resembles that rich prince in a mansion who turns away the beggar. The beggars of course being the poor and disenfranchised, the homeless, the drug addicts, the mentally ill, the handicapped, the Muslims, illegal immigrants etc. (I'm not convinced that the truly handicapped will have their disability taken from them however.)
But I'm not sure that moment was the spirit of God. A shepherd has to watch out for wolves in sheep's clothing. There were serial killers who would pretend to be injured or in crisis to find a victim too.
So, would Trump actually accept people into America if he had godlike qualities to know that they aren't out to harm his people or bring in drugs and gang activity. I think he would. If not, then he is an enemy of America (and charity) indeed!
But what if he is genuinely concerned about the future of our nation and the environment our children's children will be living in? There are examples of how the people he targets do indeed bring much violence, dark-aged policies, misogyny, and fear to those who love free-speech, justice, peace, women's equality, and harmony.
If that is his reason for turning away the poor needy beggars, well, that is noble. Should a Father accept a person who could be a pedophile off the streets into his home with his children, because Christ said, "I was hungry and you gave me to eat...I was a stranger and you welcomed me?..." A good shepherd doesn't have compassion for wolves and hesitates to let sheep into the fold when there are wolves in sheep's clothing wanting in.
So, what God might say on judgment day is, "I was your son, I was your daughter, and you kept rapists, thieves, drug-dealers, gangsters, and hateful lovers of dark-aged tyranny away from me. What you did for the least of my people you did for me. Come have your reward!"
"You stopped enabling lazy irresponsible drug-addicts with free handouts etc."
As much as I hate this verse, it is in the Bible: "If one does not work, they should not eat". If Trump cuts some welfare and food-stamps, he sort of is doing what the Apostle Paul preached. It could actually give people more dignity, healthy pride, independence, and joy, by motivating people to work. But Paul preached about charity to the poor and even to one's enemies as well!
I'm simply torn! I don't know what the answer is here. The Bible contradicts itself anyways! Help! Huge reward if you get this blind derelict to see the light!
If God doesn't want me to defend and promote Trump, then I don't want to. I'm divided internally on this issue as to what is God's will here!
