My conscience is torn all of a sudden

I have no idea how anyone can be in doubt about Trump's qualities (for lack of a better word) when he is so blunt about them and wears them on his sleeve constantly.

Subtle, he is not. Nor meritorious.
Well, wearing them on his sleeves means he's being himself. That is a quality many politicians lack.

Also, im trying to figure out God's will. God has a weirder sense of humor than most people and chooses bizzare unlikely people to represent him (if scripture is accurate).

A honest hypocrite, racist and bully is not much of a bastion of virtue. I really see no upside there.

Sometimes I wonder if being a theist clouds the ability to understand God. It just might...

Trump has condemned all forms of hate and racism.

If he has no compassion for the suffering that minorities go through, well, he's a terrible person.

If he despises a humble, hardworking, law abiding minority or Muslim based on religious adherence or skin color, then he is a terrible person.

I'm just not so sure he's like that.

I believe he wants what's best for America.

Uh, no, not at all. He was actually promoted quite a few, often while invoking paper thin shields of deniability.

Isn't his decision to separate families at the border a hint on that respect?

Yep.

Let's just say that I find that shocking for the moment.

He seems to be doing what he feels will keep Americans safe and stop the problems that immigration can bring about.

Europe is having to take action too late and even pay immigrants to return home!

Sometimes to do what is best for a nation, one has to be cruel, unfortunately!

Does he? I doubt even that, although even if true it would not justify him in any way, shape or form.

Europe is having to take action too late and even pay immigrants to return home!

And that is way better than what Trump has been doing and promising. I fail to see how that puts him in a good light.

Sometimes to do what is best for a nation, one has to be cruel, unfortunately!

Bull.

Haven't you learned by now not to listen to the voices, Pope?
Even Pope Falls victim to Satan. My hatred for political correctness, and strong distaste for what Islamic immigration has done to some countries has been trumping my other values.

Interesting....
What is your understanding of "political correctness?"
One example would be "Islam is a religion of peace".

Obama said, "We should not call ISIS radical Islamic terrorists because they hijacked a peaceful religion."

The Qur'an says people like me should have our hands and feet cut off, should be crucified, and boiling water should be poured on us. The Qur'an says "Slay the Idolaters wherever you find them. Do not take Jews and Christians as your friends".

Muhammad shed much blood.

There are countries in Europe where it is okay to blame the victims of sexual assault but not okay to point out that most of the criminals guilty of those assaults were Muslim, and often not even citizens at all. There are countries in Europe where you can get into legal trouble for publicly calling Muhammad a pedophile. He was 53 when he married Aisha who was six years old at the time. He was a pedophile.

It is also more acceptable to demonize white Christians, but not acceptable to demonize Muslims or minorities. Neither is really acceptable, but if there are verifiable statistics on the matter, those should be spoken of.

Like, where I'm from, it's socially acceptable to say "90% of serial killers are white males". But it is considered racist to say "Black males make up roughly less than 7% of the population, but roughly half of the homicides".

Both of those statistics should be acceptable to recite, (though it doesn't help to recite either). Point is, one is acceptable, the other is not. There are enormous double-standards. It all comes down to "political correctness".

To speak the truth about Muhammad and the Qur'an is considered "hate speech, Islamaphobia," and bigotry, even if all you are doing is pointing out verifiable atrocities and hate in the Qur'an and lifestyle of Muhammad.

Another example of political correctness is that it is shocking, appalling, and extremely offensive for a white person to use the N word, and rightfully so. It is an ugly offensive and inappropriate word. Yet other minorities use the word all the time in public where I live, and it is totally acceptable. I'm not saying this double-standard should be forbidden, but it still is a double-standard, and that is an example of political correctness.

Political correctness is used to describe language, policies, or measures that are intended to avoid offense or disadvantage to members of particular groups in society.

It is far more politically correct to bash Christianity than Islam, despite Islam being responsible for most terrorists, nearly all suicide bombers and dark-aged Theocracies, and the worst large-scale misogyny in our world. This is also the fruit of political correctness.

Evidence is in the eye of the beholder.

"evidence" that Obama was the antichrist isn't necessarily evidence. "Evidence" that Trump is the Fascist Cult-leader who these videos make him out to be isn't necessarily evidence.

I hadn't realized that you are a Kelly-Anne Conway devotee, whose knit-wit brain thinks there are 'alternative facts' that can be accessed when unsavory real facts are put right under her nose.

You are falsely equating unprovable ideas of a supernatural nature to those of an earthly one. There is no factual evidence of a God nor of an 'anti-Christ. The notion that Obama is the anti-Christ is based on fear, hysteria, and outright racism, besides the fact that there is no such thing as an 'anti-Christ', any more than the idea that there is a malevolent spirit called 'Satan' stalking the Earth to entrap men's souls is real.

OTOH, the religious scholar Dr. Reza Azlan is providing factual evidence to support the idea that the Trump presidency is a religious cult. Facts like:

1. 81% of white evangelicals voted for Trump, in spite of the fact that Trump can't recite a single Biblical verse, while 67% of colored evangelicals voted for Hilary.

2. The new Christian view is that of the Prosperity Gospel, which says that God wants you to be materially wealthy, and Trump, being wealthy, must have been blessed by God.

3. Trump promised secular power to evangelicals, allowing them to preach politics from the pulpit, eg; removing the Johnston amendment.

4. White evangelicals went from the most likely to say that a politician's morality matters, to the least likely. Atheists support that idea more than do evangelicals.

5. But the clincher is that Pat Robertson stated that God took him to heaven where he saw Trump sitting at the right hand of God, the spot usually reserved for Jesus. This just goes to show, in part, how nuts Christians really are.

Oh...if I were God, I would be embarrassed that such people were representing me.
.

But don't you see? The fact that such crazies are attracted to Trump says something about Trump as well as saying something about the crazies. Why is it that I saw right through Trump's ploy right from the beginning, and warned Trump supporters on these forums that they were supporting someone whom they had no idea about what he is about. Think: Mussolini with money in a business suit, or maybe a Big Stupid Ape with Big Nuclear Toys.

His supporters don't care one whit about his glaring faults which really disqualify him as being presidential or honorable. They're just glad to be rid of that black man in the White House. But I believe the real reason is that Trump is an undeclared Dominionist, whose agenda is to establish a Christian Nation with power over everything, an extension and total fulfillment of Manifest Destiny. This takes precedence over any faults of his.

The media bashes Trump without cease.

Hitler would put up with none of that!

But the Trump White House doesn't either, and won't cooperate with the free press, essentially stonewalling them in it's press conferences and labeling them as 'the enemy of the American people'. Now just think what Trump could do if and when most people begin to believe that? He could just shut the free press down with the excuse that they are a hostile element to the government in reporting 'fake news'. He would think nothing of imposing martial law to control the resulting protest, and I firmly believe he will end up doing just that. We're just in the sugar 'n spice stage of his presidency at the moment. White America wants to blame the poor and disenfranchised for mistakes it has made, making it look like they are the reason Trump trumpets 'Make 'merica great again'. He doesn't seem to understand that the racist policies of the US, primarily based upon Manifest Destiny, are what has created the blight, homelessness, crime and poverty America sees as 'failure'.

Just like Hitler, however, who exploited the German people's fear of Jews taking their jobs in troubled economic times, Trump is leveraging the fear of undocumented Mexicans and Muslims to the same end. They are the current scapegoats for America's troubles and insecurities, troubles that America herself created for herself.

You are very naive, Pope, if you really believe that. You are falling for his bait, like many others. There is just one thing that drives Trump, and that is the smell of MONEY!

Yes, very. Here's the scoop:

https://truthout.org/articles/chris...ngton-hotel-to-answer-the-divine-call-to-war/

"Though they are not nearly as well known as Christian Right leaders, such as Jerry Falwell Jr., Franklin Graham and Robert Jeffress Jr., top Dominionist leaders like Dutch Sheets, Chuck Pierce, Cindy Jacobs and Lou Engle are a force worth paying attention to.

Those leaders, according to People for the American Way’s Right Wing Watch, “are associated with the New Apostolic Reformation, which believes a triumphant, dominion-taking church will help bring about the return of Christ, and many are part of POTUS Shield, a network of self-described apostles and prophets who believe President Trump was anointed by God to help bring that all about.

Dutch Sheets, the go-to guy for the event, claimed that it would “play a prophetic role in getting the church to function as Christ’s Ekklesia, the representatives of His Kingdom government on earth; as such, we will expose the enemies of God, disrupt their plans, enforce Heaven’s rule, and reform America.” In 2015, Right Wing Watch pointed out, Sheets said, “We must realize that we are God’s governing force on the earth, which have been given keys of authority from Him to legislate from the spiritual realm.”
