My GOD will MURDER MAIM DESTROY HURT TORTURE (and) BURN you FOREVER (if you don’t convert)! Care to convert? It’s the only way you’ll be okay.

It’s a heck of a pick up line. This past week it’s been tried a couple times on me here at RF, albeit less dramatically. It didn’t work though, surprisingly enough.

I think I’ll be alright. I put enough hours in as a Christian, so if the big fella is real after all he just gotta look at my childhood when I was a groupie for him. But hell and a vengeful Jehovah ain’t real. And even if they are real, I don’t believe it so your threats are akin to a fly buzzing annoyingly around me.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT:
Stop threatening people with hell and god’s wrath. It’s a huge turn off. Please.

At least with an annoying fly you can use a fly swatter and get rid of it. Not sure how well that would work with an Almighty Being who created heaven and earth. But I suppose can keep complaining or shaking your little human fist for now.

You see, some people don’t believe God created everything. They believe the universe has always existed.

I think the flip side of this ultimatum is that true love is on God's side of things. If they are going to preach eternal wrath and why I deserve it, they should at least tell me what this eternal true love is that I'm supposedly rejecting, denying, and hardening my heart too. Then they can give proof, evidence, and examples of their God's so called love.

But the real issue is how do the believers all know that this God exists? To them it's a foregone conclusion. They think atheists are denying the obvious.

After that they can specify who their God actually is out of the many conflicting denominations.

Next tackle the problem of childhood death, natural disasters, disease, evil, on and on etc. etc.

I suppose their vision of reality is all from that ancient book, and nothing from what they see going on in the actual world. Of course they skip over the bad parts on the way to proclaiming their God is the hero, the Good one! A proclamation made in word only, and never seen in the real world.

What makes them of the few who enter into everlasting life according to their scripture? While most of humanity is on the broad road of destruction.

Of the many self entitled Christians, who are the real ones? Theocrats, Protestants, Catholics. Who's the true church in all of this? The poor?

How did they know that God parted the Red Sea?

It's really awful that eternal doom religions baselessly exist, and grow out of control making things hard on those that look at existence without presumptuous knowledge through faith.

Honestly, it's best to know before faith, faith should come after knowledge not before it.

I hope humanity survives and outlasts this absurdity.

Only blind guides teach a literal eternal suffering. All living in darkness believe them. You should learn about the true God.

Whenever I see those tactics, the song "They Will Know We Are Christians By Our Love" immediately pops into my head.

True Christians are marked by love. As well as this true mark found at 1Corinthians 1:10= Unity of thought( all of Gods 1 truth) no division)))= 1 single religion, not hundreds claiming to be Christian like all can see in this satan ruled world.

Maybe it would also be useful to understand, eternal life is promised only for righteous. Converting someone to some religion is therefore not very useful.

These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.

But, what do you think, if your would be on a car that is on the way to the gorge and the driver doesn't know the car is about to fall, is it not good to warn the driver?

I don’t follow the logic. Are you saying that unbelievers aren’t righteous in the first place so what’s the point in converting them?

@1213 you are wasting precious limited time, life, and energy on religion. Before you know it, your time will be up and you will enter the void. So stop the car! Don’t drive off the cliff that is religion!

God doesn't murder people. There is no literal eternal suffering, Gods justice makes that impossible. God has warned all what is coming.
