I hate to break it to you pumpkin.Dude, I am British. I speak the prestige dialect of this language. Y'all can assimilate into my way of speaking. Right now. No more lack of U in colour!
I hate to break it to you pumpkin.
American standard is the world's language. What some Brits on a quaint little island speak is just another dialect, like Texan.
But adding a u to color is totally cute. It's so darned precious I can't stand it.

I do like the Blooming Onions they serve!!OK, you're making me do it. I didn't want to, and this hurts me more than it hurts you. But I'm giving the Queen the green light, we're taking you back.
For the UK, it's straight up a vest.

I would think a waist coat is a really wide belt....Oh I didn't know that. Apparently, what we refer to as vests would be a waistcoat, I think. At least that's what I found online. I've never heard the term waistcoat before.
Texas and Alabama are part of the package.OK, you're making me do it. I didn't want to, and this hurts me more than it hurts you. But I'm giving the Queen the green light, we're taking you back.

Texas and Alabama are part of the package.
Not to mention Mississippi.
And I fully expect health care and gasoline taxes.

Exactly that. Though, I happened to remember one of Dad's old vests that looks very similar to this:

Except the vest I got from my dad is leather on the outside, wool on inside.
It's a "tank top".
