NDE: Near Death Experiences

Do you have any sources on this?

Yes it Non-denominational for Christians and Messianic Jews. It was about an African pastor. It is a site dedicated to propagate Christianity. I myself don't believe that NDE visions have any basis, because I have read a case of a Christiansseeing a certain Sikh guru. Even if you read the experiences on that site their visions of Christian heaven and hell differ.I think it's rather some sort of hallucination. But the coming back to life/resurrection after the body is hardened does perplex me.

And the real question is......can you live with yourself for the rest of eternity?

well...I'm maybe the most imaginative person ever
so my soul is full of wonderful places...and nice people to meet
it would be the coolest thing ever living there for eternity
actually I look forward to it

It does not do that at all

It very much does, actually.

"Near death experiences (NDEs), which the study's authors said were reported by 20 per cent of cardiac arrest survivors, are commonly cited as evidence of an afterlife or the separation of the body and the soul - but scientists have increasingly been able to attribute people's experiences to physiological processes and now believe they result from unusual brain activity caused by reduced blood flow to the brain."

Considering that NDE seem to change based on geography you would have to say it is likely the brain playing tricks on someone who is, by definition, near death and not actually dead. In the US the visions seem to be focused on Jesus and the Christian afterlife. In the middle east it seems to be focused more on Allah and the Islamic afterlife. Some people get abducted by aliens and some scientologists have had confirmation that Xenu exists. Some Hospitals are now putting certain phrases on the top of their buildings to see if anyone can tell them what it says. As far as I know no one has been able to do so.

It has been verified that people can recall real events that happened up to three minutes after temporary death. This does not speak to what happens after death, but does show that people's brains are still functioning for quite a while after their hearts stop beating.

Actually it's hinting at something even stronger; that consciousness is still functioning after the brain has ceased any significant activity.

First the limit of ordinary brain functioning after cardiac arrest needs to be proven with more research. But already some of the total skeptics need to acknowledge that science has pushed back the time the brain is still functioning. Then there's the inevitable leap of faith that takes one beyond what is scientifically verifiable but that is a different point.

I suspect one heaven.
Crossing over will no doubt be a surprise to all.

Still...how then heaven, if it's not what you want?

Maybe...heaven COULD be what you think it is.
In which case, you would need be careful with whom you interact.
The next person might have a greatly different attitude.
