Little do they know Manson (the real man, not the persona). Is actually quite tame. LoL
A boring, mellow as yellow, lame, tame dude. It's why I've always pointed out I don't know if it's Brain the man or Marilyn the character that was made a charter priest of the Church of Satan. Marilyn, yes, but the man, I could see the horns, and knives, and blood, and nudity, and other such stuff being a turn off to him. Alice Cooper and Vincent Furnier aren't much the same person either, but Brian is surprisingly prudish and conservative for the character that Marilyn is. When the news and media personalities were picking on him, their heads probably would have exploded if they would have known he probably agrees with them on a few points, lol.

You must not have read his autobiography...

Smoking bones, anyone? (Edit: He went grave robbing, ground human bones to dust, rolled and smoked them.)
He's not "perfect," but he's also hesitant to take his pants off while he's having sex because he's that afraid that something like a fire will happen and he'll be seen naked by others. He's the Anti-Christ Superstar, but it's not unusual for Brain to be an anti-climatic "Anti-Super Star." Axl Rose or the Red Hot Chili Peppers he is not, lol.

Maybe I've just done crazier things. LoL

I watched a documentary on him years ago. My impression of his personal life was he is basically a normal guy.

Pretty much. If he went out with normal looking hair, no makeup or cosmetic contact lenses, no one would even realize or recognize him as Manson, the anti-Christ boogeyman who was in every closet, under every bed, and lurking in every shadow always on the prowl to corrupt your kids. It's kind of frustrating that asides from the very, very cliche rock-star things like drug abuse, every time I've read something about him he's a very bland, tame, mellow guy. His person and alter ego are further apart than those like Clark Kent/Superman, Peter Parker/Spiderman, Batman/Bruce Wayne, and so on. I'd probably never in a million years believe that quiet, timid, soft-spoken man was the devil incarnate himself when I was a kid/teen.

Yeup pretty tame. His persona is for show, and it's good. I won't knock it. But I grew up with personalities like Alice Cooper and David Bowie, who obviously influenced Manson's persona.

I thought I'd list a few more recent video games I was pleasantly surprised how good they are, and a few I quite frankly wasn't:

Pleasantly surprised:

Xenoblade X
Metroid: Samus Returns
Shantae
BlazBlue: Central Fiction

Disappointed in:

Tekken 7
Monster Hunter World (that game for XBox One / PS4)
RPG Maker Fes

--

Some music bands / singers I like:

Avril Lavigne
Simple Plan
Rise Against
One Republic
Imagine Dragons
Etc.

--

Favorite Powerman 5000 songs:

When Worlds Collide
Supernova Goes Pop
Almost Dead (composed for a video game)
Tonight The Stars Revolt
Electric Avenue (cover)
Free
Action

And a couple others I'd have to do a search to remember the names of

I've decided that "being old" must be redefined. If Enoch is old, that means being old is just down the road for me. But it's not. Im "youngish" like Marlon Wayons. :D Young are those who were "of age" for Harry Potter as kids. Old, that's decades out from where my mom is. We had stone wheels and strings and clubs for technology growing up, but Pat Robertson is the new minimum to be considered old, and the year that defines what being old is ticks up every year he doesn't die. :p

Hehe nah you young. Heck 41 is young physically speaking. I have an old soul that makes me seem older, and with the autoimmune disease that causes me to fatigue quicker than normal. So those 2 things combined even though I'm 42 years old, I feel and sound 80ish years old haha.

But that's why it took a story of a broken Atari and new NES to realize you by no means meet my criteria of what I think when I think old, lmao. I've always considered people around the same age group as me because I get along with and relate to people from around the mid 70s to mid 80s way better than I have those from after the mid 80s, especially those 90s kids people suddenly are trying to stick me with.
So I forbid you from being old because that means I'm old. And for once I'm feeling young instead of old, so NO being old for you! :p

Neither of you need to go easy on Manson. Most of that obsession was left behind in my teens. (I've moved on to other equally unhealthy obsessions since.) He was influential when it came to my beliefs, though. (Well, lack of.) I also wasn't brave enough to wear makeup out in public before him, so he gave me the balls to do that.

Anyway, I can see him kicking back in a white tee, pair of blue jeans and loafers with a bag of Cheetos and a beer in hand. (More so now than back then, though.) I recently saw him in a show and didn't recognize him at all. He's 50 now and gained quite a bit of weight. I can't help when I think of him to remember all the outrageous stuff he's done with amusement, though. Whether it be part of his persona, for shock value or when he was drug fueled. (Smoking human bones, performing oral sex on men on stage, carving on his chest using a broken bulb, etc.)

Also... Bowie. <3

Nah I got respect for Mansons showmanship. He pushed many boundaries, and scared a lot of folks haha. We've all been inspire by others.

I mean Corey Taylor used the serial killers mask from the movie Nightbreed as inspiration for his mask. Another reason I wanted you to check out Nightbreed @Shadow Wolf .

Here is Dr.Deckers mask from Nighbreed.

I like Enoch's new avatar.

Thanks! I tried to post it as a gif. But I grandpa'ed it and can't get it to work. Got it resized and down to 50kb but it won't show the animation unless you click on it. Dunno what I'm doing wrong. So I gave up on it and just use the still image.

Thumbs up for Powerman 5000. I bought the 'Tonight the Star Revolt!' on CD when it came out in '99. (Two decades ago, jeez... old.)

More good 90's bands not yet mentioned:

Rage Against the Machine
System of a Down
Stabbing Westward
Static X
Bush
Everclear
Hole

All good bands. RaM just got to political for me so I gave up on them.....until AudioSlave baby then I was back in it.

Velvet Revolver was epic as well.

God rest their souls.

She may or may not look at it, but I'll check it out... It looks like my kinda movie. (Re-Animator is my favorite movie of all time.)

The zipper on his face reminds me of a gimp suit mask, though. (Not saying that's a bad thing.)

Btw, you mentioned you had a Sega Saturn, right? What games did you have on it?

Wasn't Rage always political... ?

Not familar with the those two bands except for Chris Cornell being the lead singer of Audioslave. I got out of most mainstream music in early 2,000 and been underground ever since. (Goth, synthpop, bit of industrial)
