Even if you don’t believe in God you’re still stuck with him imo.

Well sure, assuming that a deity exists, that existence wouldn't seem to depend on whether we believed or not.

But whether or not we are "stuck with him" would seem to depend on whether the initial assumption of the deity's existence is true or not.

Basically, although there have been various fantasy tropes who've played around with the idea of belief being central to a God's existence and power.
Eg. Small Gods by Terry Pratchett, Incarnations of Immortality by Piers Anthony, and lots more

This thread is a non-starter.

Whatever may have been meant to be said... isn't being said.

My conception of God, is the blind idiot god. A motivating force with no reason or purpose. We and the universe we inhabit are the byproducts of natural processes. That doesn't mean life has no meaning, but it comes from within it is not imposed from without

Or Her, or It, but whatever the situation, what religions might tell us about such might be just made up nonsense from long ago - because they didn't know any better then. But we are still free to pick and choose any particular version of this - that tends to massage our egos.

Unless there is no God but the God in your mind. Then, You're not "stuck", because you can always change the idea of God in your mind.
