No escape

It's like all the people who believed the earth was flat years ago. They were all still stuck with a round earth. No escape imo
It's like all the monotheists are stuck with polytheism and the polytheists are stuck with animism. Frontwards or backwards, it is up to theists, who make claims, to back those claims up or play it wise... just believe, practice and worship like nothing else matters.

I still believe that there’s only one God in reality, whatever that may be imo.

We have endless reliable confirmable evidence for a spherical Earth. There does not appear to be any for a God.

No one ever said we needed any imo
But once again, it is needed. Faith is not a pathway to the truth. If you want to believe something just because it makes you feel good then go ahead. But it is rather immoral to try to export your values from that belief onto others.

I’m not exporting my values onto others

I know, believers refuse to reason rationally because they are afraid of losing their faith. But that tells others that your faith appears to be rather weak since you have to take such steps to protect it.
Everyone on this thread has been kind. Except for you.

I see there as being a potential misunderstanding where you may have a "Take it or leave it" mindset here, while @Subduction Zone is trying to get people to think more critically and treat debates more seriously, but that you might think that this might not really be the time or place for it. Sorry if I'm misunderstanding the exchange, it's just how I would interpret what was going on if asked.
