No.

You either desire world or next. There is no between nor will we choose neither, the ones who want between both worlds, belittle the next world and are under illusion they actually care for it when if they truly believed in it, they would not be trying to have both.

Humans deluded themselves. However, God wants to wake us up, and not deceive ourselves about believing in him and the guidance. He wants to actually see him and witness his highest signs. That takes detachment from lower world.

Of course, desires are hard to be curbed, and so we have to address our animal self, but the world can never be the goal. God and next world must the goal and direction.

God set it up that you have to sacrifice one for the other. You won't desire both equally nor free from attachment from both.
