Anyone who refuses academic knowledge is living fanaticism and fundamentalism.

That combines ignorance and mythology which often leads to violence, its never good.

Its sad in this modern day, people accept mythology over education.
That's untrue, how does one appoint a word to what's wordless?

If I don't take the academic route, I neither talk nor support the Government ideology. Words and capitalist mysticism out of the picture, I'm surrounded by only the natural world and universe.

You put a dark, dull name on something extravagant and it doesn't make sense to anyone with an ounce of wisdom.

Do you mean to say, in a word-world, where talking is the norm, one must pursue fanaticism and fundamentalism if not for academia?

It depends on which of the thousands of diseases you're talking about. For example Polio destroyed the lives of hundreds of thousands of children, despite the praying and begging to God that all the parents did, until humans invented the vaccine and now we don't have to deal with Polio any more.

Why we're still alive, do you think it was due to luck ?
Why we survived from Polio and other diseases regardless of the fact that some had died by it ?

So far AIDS is unbeatable, but we're working on it. Surely God isn't doing anything about it.

But why we have AIDS ? why not other similar diseases that can easily spread and be more deadly ?
Was it all due to coincidences and luck ? we have samples of it , just read the message.

Why are you and I still alive? Thanks to Jonas Salk and the scientific minds before him who allowed him to do his work.

Why we survived from Polio and other diseases regardless of the fact that some had died by it ?

No one dies from it now that humans have created a vaccine. Many died from it back then because humans hadn't created a vaccine. It's not luck, it's scientific advancement.

But why we have AIDS ?

Because we haven't invented a vaccine yet.

why not other similar diseases that can easily spread and be more deadly ?

We have lots of other easily spread, very deadly diseases.

Did we survive because of the immune system or because of medicine ?
Historically, the modern human species survived mostly due to their immune system (in combination with others taking care of them while they were sick). Medicine has helped improved average survival rate. There are plenty of other human species that are now extinct, however.
What if the viruses were unbeatable ?
No virus is unbeatable. How can a perfect virus exist? Every living system has flaws.
Was it due to coincidences or someone planned for human to survive on earth ?
It was due to natural selection on individuals that either had superior immune responses or behaviors that made them less likely to come into contact with the viruses in the first place.

How humans survived before finding the medicine.

No one dies from it now that humans have created a vaccine. Many died from it back then because humans hadn't created a vaccine. It's not luck, it's scientific advancement.

But humans survived before inventing the vaccine even though many had died, was it due to luck ?

Because we haven't invented a vaccine yet.

And if the virus was deadly and easily spreading then do you think humans can survive
while searching for years to find a medicine, so we're lucky, right

We have lots of other easily spread, very deadly diseases.

Which can eliminate us, but again we're lucky and of course we have science.

What is bad in seeing things like usually they exist naturally with the eyes bestowed to us by G-d? Drinking pure and natural water is quite nourishing. Isn't it?
It would be difficult to drink it while seeing living things moving about in it.

And without academic education and knowledge of such, you could be totally ignorant of your surroundings.

Its a fact. its not up for debate.

Its sad in this modern day, people accept mythology over education.
so if you can't find it in a book.....written by some guy....
you don't know anything?

I struggle to understand why people of this time period, continue to believe in stories that originated in eras that did not have telescopes or microscopes. The most prominent world religions all started over ~1,500+ years ago, with many doubling that. Think about that for a minute...

They did not have telescopes, and as a result many believed that the earth was the center of the cosmos. The sun and stars revolved around the earth, and creation was centered on earth. They did not understand what a star consisted of, how far away they were, or how big the cosmos actually was. They had no idea about the speed of light, black holes, dark matter, or what happens to a star once it goes super nova.

Because of various mythologies, heaven was thought to be "up" and hell (hades, etc.) was thought to be "down." They did not have the capabilities of flight, especially space flight, and had no way of knowing what was beyond the earth. Heck, they could not even soar through the clouds like we can today.

Nor did they have microscopes. They did not have the level of scientific knowledge that we have today, especially medical science. There are many passages in the Christian Bible that talk about various "demonic possessions," but the truth is that those possessions were illnesses or diseases, and those ancient people simply did not understand them (like epilepsy). They had no idea what bacteria or viruses were, or how they were spread.

So how is it that modern humans place their faith on the writings of such primitive, uneducated people?
like the story of some guy getting his rib cut out while he slept?
UNBELIEVEABLE!

then that rib is increased to full stature...
UNBELIEVEABLE!

and that clone is genetically altered to be a woman!
???????????

Moses didn't have a lot to work with in writing that story....
just God looking over his shoulder

The Bible differentiates epilepsy from demon possession. (Matthew 4:24) While many ridicule the idea that wicked spirits exist, I believe cases of such demon possession are well documented. Science has done much to increase our knowledge of the universe but is unable to answer the most important questions of life. Where we came from, why we suffer, and what hope there is for us. The Bible does not contain false ideas, though some wrongly claim it does. When the Bible discusses scientific matters, such as the shape of the earth and how it exists in space, it is accurate. (Job 26:7, Isaiah 40:22) Today we speak of the sun rising and setting, of the sky being up, etc. I do not believe there is anything inaccurate about these expressions.

These people never used reason and logic to gain their current faith, and no amount of reason or logic will change it.

That is simply not true. The ancients were just as capable of using reason and logic as people today. They simply perceived the world around them to the best of their ability, using the means they had access to. Also, maybe you should look into ancient history a little more? There is evidence people were not as primitive as you desire to believe.

The way I see it, there is nothing irrational about believing the Bible is inspired by Yahweh. There is also nothing illogical about believing in Yahweh. Just as there is nothing irrational about believing in any deity. You may desire to make it seem that way when you paint the ancients as completely backwards and gullible. However, their ignorance regarding what the surface of Mars looks like or what the shape of an amoeba is, does not detract from matters of faith.

Science is not a force of total logic and reason which needs to drive out faith. Not in my view. Instead, science helps me understand the world around me and in me. Actually, science often causes my faith to grow stronger, not weaker. The complexity of life is fascinating to me, as is that of non organic matter. Science is not my religion either, although it seems to be the religion of many Atheists.
