I agree with you completely anyone who says that "13.5 billion cubic miles of extra water floating around in space is just a little frustrating." Who do you know that believes in the canopy theory? The statement in day 4 of creation where the stars could be seen disproves there was a cloud vapor around the earth from creation to the deluge.:D:D:cool:

Isn't the canopy theory Hovind's?

And in what "atmosphere" do people live to be 969 years old? And why not 970, or 968, what makes the difference?

The word 'day' in scripture has shades of meaning. Such as all of the creative days are summed up as one day at Gen (2:4).

Even today we use the expression to mean more than a 24-hour day when we say in Grand Father's day or Noah's day, etc.

Adam and Eve were told the 'day' you eat you die.
They did not die that literal 24-hour day, but they did die within God's thousand-year day. (2 Peter 3:8; Numbers 14:34)

So, no one could live past 1000 literal years after mankind became imperfect.
It was not the atmosphere, but Adam's disobeying God's no-trespassing law that resulted in imperfection that proved the words of Genesis (2:17) to be true.

Flintstones. Meet the Flintstones.
They're the modern stone age family.
From the town of Bedrock,
They're a page right out of history.

Let's ride with the family down the street.
Through the courtesy of Fred's two feet.

When you're with the Flintstones
you'll have a yabba dabba doo time.
A dabba doo time.
You'll have a gay old time.

Well, folks. That says it all.

Katzpur

Not your average Mormon
There are those who claim the Ark contained dinosaurs, i think he was just addressing this absurd claim.
Well, how's it going? I know I'm not going to read the 200+ posts on this thread, so maybe you can tell me if anyone on RF has actually claimed to believe that.

Thanks for the info, I sure am glad I don't buy into any of that BS.

Hey I recognize that tune, don't they play that at the Creation Museum in Kentucky? You know the one that depicts children playing with Velociraptors.

Creationscience or any other creationist web site will tell you all you need to know on the subject.

Thinking of someone actually going there to learn something is scarry:dracula:

Apparently she is unaware of this rather hilarious belief that Dinosaurs inhabited this Ark, I figure anyone that didn't know that would get a god dose of BS from either creationontheweb, or talkorigins.

Everytime someone claims that, just whistle the theme of the Flintstones.

In todays atmosphere. What about in one where people can live to be 969 years old? It was probably just a titch differant....If you are debating based on what the Bible accounts. If not then I dont really have an argument because I'm not exactly science smart.
The atmosphere had nothing to do with longevity. I think it was a lingering effect from Adam/Eve's eating of the tree of life, which was passed down through succesive generations.

So your conclusion is to describe the biblical account any way you wish?

Not at all, my conclusion is based on the fact that the biblical account is an impossibility. It has nothing to do the "the way I wish" but everything to do with reason, logic, and scientific evidence, or in the case of said flood, lack of.
