Taking the Lord's name in vain is probably cultural. This is the kind of thing I really look into. I'm curious about it.

It is interesting that most swear words fall into three categories, religious theme, sexual theme, and bodily waste theme (including blood). And we find this holds true throughout many different cultures, different languages and different religions.

The theocracy that the prophet Daniel pointed forward was not any 'so-called Christian' theocracy [clergy rule] on earth. God's kingdom [theocracy -Dan 2v44] is future going to rule over earth starting from the time of Jesus 'glory' of Matthew 25vs31,32 and not before the coming of Jesus peaceful 1000-year reign over earth.

Jesus will involve himself into mankind's affairs, and he will deal with what you term 'Paulists'. The clergy class has proved themselves to be wolves in sheep's clothing fleecing the flock of God. -Acts 20vs29,30.

How is Revelation 19vs11,14,15 not prophecy?
Isn't that what Isaiah foretold at Isaiah 11v4?

How is Revelation 22v2 not prophecy?
Don't we still have death on earth?
So how is Revelation 21vs4,5 not prophecy?

History proves you wrong, sorry.

Yes, it usually is. Do you think that people usually actually think of hell or damnation (or even body secretions) when they curse? IMO it is rarely the case, and far more of a spur-of-the-moment thing.

Hell is where "the beast and the false prophet are." The beast (animals) are here on earth. To see the false prophets just turn on your TV on Sunday mornings. People try to distance themselves from sinners, but the very reason why they are here in hell is to learn. I hate to bust her bubble, but we're all in hell. I'm a Christain, and I know I'm in hell. I know I am not perfect. Jesus himself said "why callest me good?"

I don't think most cursing qualifies as taking his name, be it in vain or otherwise. People just aren't all that intentional all that often. It is just a reflex move.

A reflex based on relating 'curse words to Jesus, God, and Holy something.

Sounds like people are mad at these references personally and thats why the only time they relate to it is when they aren't feeling so good about themselves or the things in their lives, why 'religiously' use words that aren't a part of your belief system? why refer to them constantly with vehemence?

I was talking to my very Christian Aunt, and I told her that I follow Asatru. Now she knows me very well and really feels that I am a genuinely kind and loving person. I asked her, based on her beliefs, that even though I am not a Christian, would I go to heaven when I died, if it existed. She said no, I would go to hell for eternity. Me, a kind and loving person, would go to Hell and burn for eternity, all because I didn't accept Jesus as my saviour. That's outrageous to me, and shows how intolerant the Christian god is, at least in my Aunt's interpretation. Now my Aunt is not the "religious" Christian, she says she is a "spiritual" Christian. One who feels that have a one-on-one relationship with God, and disagrees a lot with the Church. She says the only things you must do to get to Heaven is accept you are a sinner, and accept Jesus. She is very tolerant however, it seems as if her god is not. Her loving god who shows her the way, the truth, and the light, and cares so much about her and guides her. This loving god sends another loving human to eternal Hellfire for not accepting him.

Klaufi Wodensson,
When any human being reasons, he automatically puts himself in, what is called An Epistemological Predicament. The reason for this is: all people are at a great disadvantage because all people actually know very little, so then HOW can you expect to dumb out an accurrate answers to problems that are profound, that actually mean the difference between everlasting death and everlasting life??
The only place you can receive information about life is from the ONE WHO is the SOURCE of life, who created all things in heaven and earth, Ps 36:9, Isa, 45:18, Rev 4:11.
As far as I have ever heard, NO other god except the God of the Bible has claimed to be the one who created everything. There is NOTHING that is worse to God than false religion, which is actually: Worship of nonexisting gods, Ps 115:1-8. The God of the Bible claims to be the one who created all things, therefore He is the one who has the right to make laws. He is making these laws for our own good, not just because He has the power, Deut 10:13,Ps 32:8,9, Isa 46:9,10, 48:17,18. God says that if you put your trust in Him, He will make your way right, Prov 3:5,6, Ps 119:105.
The most important point in all this is: The God of the Bible says tht He is going to anninilate all these gods that did not create the heavens and the earth, Jere 10:11,14,15. It behooves everyone on earth to learn about the God of the Bible, who promises to make this earth a Paradise, and to resurrect billions of the dead to enjoy everlasting life on earth as was God's original purpose, Gen 1:26-28, Isa 45:18, John 5:28,28, Acts 24:15. No other god can promise these things.
Your mother might believe what she says about HELL, but she has been deceived by false teachers. The world is ruled over now by Satan the devil, and his teachers want people to believe anything that is wrong, that makes The God of the Bible look wicked. The FACT is: The term hell is a curruption of the Greek word hades, and means only the common grave of mankind. This can easily be seen by a comparison of Ps 16:10, and Acts 2:27,31. Jesus was also in hades, and He was a perfect man, never did he sin, 1Pet 2:22, Heb 4:15. Jesus was also God's onlybegotten son, John 1:18. God would never have let His son go to a place of torment, as false teachers today teach about hades.
Ask your mother to look up hades in Bible dictionaries to find the truth. Ask her also to reason on another point: Is it really JUST to punish a person for ETERNITY for sins that he committed for just a few years?? Even mankind would not do such a thing!!! Notice that God is JUST in all His dealings, Deut 32:4, Ps 86:5,15, Job 34:10,12.
Another point for your mother is this: The wages sin pays is DEATH, Rom 6:23, which means that when a person dies he has paid for his sins, in fact he as paid the ultimate price, his life. Therefore he is even with God, nothing is owed to either party. This is recorded very plainly at Rom 6:7, where we are told that a person who has died is ACQUITTED from his sins. By undeserved kindnessor Grace God is going to resurrect billions of dead people, on the basis of Jesus's ransom sacrifice, Matt 20:28, John 1:29, Eph 1:7 , Heb 10:11-18.
We are very near to the time when Jesus said that he would return, in fact this generation will not pass away before God's Kingdom will take over this earth, the Kingdom we pray for recorded at Matt 6:9,10, Matt 24:33-35.

So anyways. Remember how I went to Hell about a week ago? Well I just got from Heaven (I wanted to check em both out), and let me tell you! It was not nice. First Saint Peter tried telling me I was not on the list and that I had to fill out all this paperwork. Then once I actually got in there was like nothing to do. There was barely anyone there and the ones that were there were all trippin on $h!t. I finally found where God was living but it was guarded by some angels aka wankers. So anyway I finally got in to see him and he didn't even offer me some tea or coffee. He was all like "what the eff do YOU want?!" So in a nutshell it was really a sucky visit. The only good part was smoking a hooka with Jesus on a giant pile of giant cushions.

Can you think of anyone sinless that was in hell?______
According to Acts 2vs27,32 Jesus was in hell.
The Biblical hell is mankind's common grave.
-John 11vs11-14

Where does it say hell is where the beast/ false prophet are?
Rev 20v10,14 has them in second death which is not hell.

Everywhere. Name one Christian nation that has been beneficial in any form until secular law overtook theonomy.
Hint, the United States is NOT a Christian Nation.

Since Pentecost of 33 AD [CE] the only Christian nation is spiritual, not fleshly, according to 1st Peter 2v9. Christians live in all countries of earth.

Doesn't the USA operate as a free religious marketplace?
It started out as sort of a melting pot but has now turned into more like a tossed salad.
