Nonspecific gender pronouns

I don't know about everyone else, but I was referring specifically to people who have either no or both genders. It would be incorrect to call them he or she--if you don't have one (or have both) you aren't male or female.
I understand.;)

OK Jensa, since you asked the question, would you prefer to be referred to by this 'genderless' system?

It really doesn't matter too much to me. I'm not sure where I pop up on the gender scale. I've been told I act both masculine and feminine, but I don't 'feel' particularly either. It really doesn't matter to me either way. :) I just brought it up because I know a few people that do, and thought you guys might be interested in finding out (or griping ;) Haha, only kidding) about it.

I don't believe many of us are 100% either way; I know that I am most certainly not. I am well aware that I act both masculine and femine - to what degree, I have no idea. I don't feel a man, but then I know I am not a woman.

Maybe had I been born far later than I was, I might have been a very mixed up person indeed (well more mixed up than I already am).:D

No, everyone has a sex... Not everybody has a gender.
Gender in the dictionary still relates to masculine Feminine or neuter.
Gender roles and Gender perceptions are a whole new ball-game.
Some distinction needs to be added to the word Gender, to render it to have a special meaning other than sex.

I think that gender-neutral pronouns would be useful under certain circumstances.

No, the idea is not politically correct. In fact, I can think of a number of very silly people who would find it quite appalling and extremely offensive, and I would not use such terms if I had any intention of being elected to office. Some people have forgotten the actual meaning of PC.

Guys, don't slam on the transgendered if you've never actually known one.

My behavior tends to be...well, human, mostly. Come to think of it, I've never really given my gender much thought or care.

Not everyone idenifies as male or female, there are genderqueer and people who would just rather be neuter.

We had a senior lecturer at the college where I worked. Always dressed in slightly way out skirts and blouses with high heels, always carried books and papers in a vast handbag and usually had a two day old designer stubble. made no physical attempt to look feminine. He was just a full time cross dresser. I am shure he never thought himself other than male.
I find cross dressers difficult to place in the scheme of things.

What exactly are the 'qualifications' for being a cross dresser? I wear baggy pants and shirts most of the time, no jewelry, loathe makeup, I just toss my hair up into a ponytail without playing with it for a half hour... but I don't really consider myself a crossdresser.

To wear clothes that would normally only be worn by the oposite sex.
I am sure you have as many as we do. some parts of manchester seem full of them in the evenings. Though mostly if they dress as females they use makeup. Sometimes it is a sexual thing but not usually.

I must admit that is something I don't understand.
