Rest assured, most anybody watching footage of what happened last year at the Capitol, would realize some Capitol Hill police were being beaten, crushed, dragged or shoved around by a mob of angry attackers who were trying to disrupt Congress from certifying the 2020 U.S. President Election results. Ergo, the Capitol Hill riot on 1/6/21 should be consider as having been a violent terrorist attack. Right?

Insurrection is more appropriate as I see it. This country has issues and Democrats definitely played a part in causing this to happen.
When someone is pushed too hard expect someone to push back.
I don't like what happened , but to a degree I see why it occurred.

where inspiring fear in a populace is the goal.
Terrorist attacks are more common here than insurrection.
The latter is rare & a far greater threat. So calling it
"terrorism" is not just histrionic...it dilutes the evil of the
insurrectionists.
For the record. This was terrorism. It was a terrorist attack, The people who attacked the capital were terrorists. If you doubt this consult a dictionary.

Now that you have mentioned mutilation being done by the Capitol Hill terrorists on 1/6/21. about 140 officers , 73 from the Capitol Police and 65 from the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington were somewhat bodily mutilated, Their bodily mutilations ranged from bruises and lacerations to more serious damage such as concussions, rib fractures, burns and even a mild heart attack.
