It looks like I'm going to be doing some patting myself on the back.
The Apple Watch I got as part of my phone upgrade is proving to be more than just a toy. It's recording my movements, when I sit and stand, heart rate, steps, distance I walk, and a few other metrics. It transmits it to the Apple Health app on the phone, which in turn syncs with Weight Watchers. The Map My Walk and Gym Hero apps interface with Facebook, where I post log entries for all the world to see. It's good motivation as some friends and family cheer me on.
Nerdy is as nerdy does.
I lost 3" off my belly, not pants size, just around my belly at navel level. Instead of my pants sliding down below my navel, and my belly protruding and developing a Dunlop Effect (da belly dun lop over da belt) my pants are actually sitting at my navel, and my shirt is staying tucked in.
I haven't lost any scale weight, but the 3" off my belly is significant. I have at least 8" to go, which is about 35-40 lbs. I'm currently 225, my goal is 185-190.
I've been walking 2.5 - 3 miles a couple of times a week, weight lifting 3 times a week. It will be 4 times once I add legs back in. I do a legs, push (chest & triceps), pull (back & biceps), shoulders & triceps (tris 2x/week) split.
I'm quite encouraged.
