This goes back to an earlier thought I had.... How would the NRA feel about an American Muslim wearing a thobe and kufi and beard, coming to join up
Most of us would be pleased. (And beards are common.) But I don't know how many might feel awkward.

There's nothing in the rulebook against it. I suspect you must live in the USA. I don't know if US citizenship is required. No religions are officially excluded from NRA membership. Besides, you can join by mail.

Maybe it is a stereotype, but I always thought NRA was made up of right wing rural christians
Many of us are pro-gay marriage, pro-choice, wine & cheese heathens.
It's a diverse organization.

Like the kind who have an NRA sticker under the confederate flag on their back window
Don't see many confed flags up here in MI.
Besides, I didn't join expecting everyone to be just like me.

I don't know if you fellas have Islamic bumper stickers, but wouldn't it be cool to have an NRA sticker next to it?
That would be a real conversation ice breaker!

I don´t think people are worried i think some right wing republicans including some `mainstream` media are just preaching hatred.

I can see what is happening in some European countries where the Muslim population is growing and is not becoming part of the fabric of their countries.

I also have to wonder when it is stated here that Islam and democracy don't go together.

That makes me shudder.

With less then 1% of the population being Muslim?
O and the most Muslims that i do hear that live America are "Modern, Westernized" Muslims so Sharia in America? Lol!

They have become part of the fabric of America and that is what should happen.

They have done what other generations of immigrants have done.

As the same reason Moses(pbuh) would give you.
Not sure what Sharia has to do with a democracy are you referring to a Khalipate?

Those 0,8% Muslims in America are mostly converts or so integrated that that you can't see the difference so i am not sure what you are trying to suggest here.
Moreover i think accepting American values in a whole seems absurd just look at the crime figures and since when is the Jewish community so "Integrated" as a whole?

I have no worries about Sharia law being forced on people in America. I have meet some Muslims who pray 5 times a day and follow there faith. Even in America.

Your questions are strange.

All countries have crime even Muslim countries.

But the freedoms we have here I would not trade.

Muslims can practice their faith in peace as can all other religions.

In fact my Jewish community shares worship space with the local Muslim community so they have a place for Friday prayers. That way they can leave work and pray without going to the very large mosque that is much further away.

The youth of the large mosque and my Jewish community are building bridges by meeting once a month for interfaith social action.

So yes Muslims live as Muslims but they are a part of the fabric of my country.

What are you trying to say here?

How does sharia pose a threat in the U.S.? Are all of our law makers, police, military, etc. going to convert to hardline islam overnight?
