While I support the second amendment, unfortunately it seems like a lot of those who are adamant about it tend to be kooky christian fundamentalists who make everything outside of their narrow, tiny mindset to be bogymen comin' to get 'em. Gays, atheists, pagans, liberals, muslims, freemasons, etc. all somehow conspiring together against Jebus' righteous followers.

And it does nothing to help further arms rights.

While I support some gun regulation, unfortunately it seems like a lot of those who are adamant about it tend to be kooky statist control freaks who make everything outside
of their narrow ovine mindset to be killers come'n to get'm, eg, hillbillies, libertarians, Xians, etc, all somehow conspiring together against truth, justice & the American way.
And their obsession with big magazines & scary looks does nothing to help further reasonable regulation.

Your questions are strange.

All countries have crime even Muslim countries.

But the freedoms we have here I would not trade.

Muslims can practice their faith in peace as can all other religions.

In fact my Jewish community shares worship space with the local Muslim community so they have a place for Friday prayers. That way they can leave work and pray without going to the very large mosque that is much further away.

The youth of the large mosque and my Jewish community are building bridges by meeting once a month for interfaith social action.

So yes Muslims live as Muslims but they are a part of the fabric of my country.

What are you trying to say here?
I think i misunderstood you, i though you meant to say that those Muslims should try to "integrate" while changing there cultures and so forth.

I believe that there is more of a bias against Islam. So they have not incorporated as much.

I don't think religions can be incorporated in a secular society may it be Judaism, Christianity, Islam or even Buddhism. Again my question remains haven't Muslims integrated themselves and to point out something most of those Muslims are converts..

How does sharia pose a threat in the U.S.? Are all of our law makers, police, military, etc. going to convert to hardline islam overnight?

It's all scare tactics by some on the right/tea party....

Bachmann Expresses Concerns Over Potential Muslim Brotherhood Influence In U.S. Government | Michele Bachmann | Fox Nation

Bachmann also says an investigation of “potential Muslim Brotherhood infiltration” of President Barack Obama’s administration is needed because of interactions between federal agencies and what she calls U.S. front groups for the Muslim Brotherhood, an international Islamist group that recently came to power in Egypt.
Allen West: 80 Communists in the House - POLITICO.com
“That’s a fair question. I believe there’s about 78 to 81 members of the Democratic Party that are members of the Communist Party,” West says in the video.
This what was/is going on. Much of this is expressed by these people with no evidence but rather fueling their base that don't seem to know any better. This holds true because you can see the base out with signs expressing theses thoughts in their signage, web pages and youtube videos.....

Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) has two passions: preserving the second amendment, and protecting Americans from Islamic law. He's now managed to bring his two enthusiasms together by asserting that citizens need gun rights to defend themselves against Sharia.

That reminds me of a Mitchell & Webb skit...

Person A: "Hey, do you want to come to a cheese exhibition with me?"

Person B: "Yeah, I'd like that, because I really love cheese!"

Person A: "Oh, that's great! If you jump in my car I'll give you a lift there!"

Person B: "Oh, I can't do that, I hate cars.."

Presenter: "Do you love cheese and hate cars? Then you'll enjoy Car-Hate-Cheese-Love, the new magazine for car hating cheese lovers everywhere!"

Maybe it is a stereotype, but I always thought NRA was made up of right wing rural christians

Is this just your opinion or were you led to believe this from someone who doesn't like the NRA. If this was an acquired prejudice, who did you acquire it from.

Maybe it is a stereotype, but I always thought that those living in CA, NY and a few upper East Coast states were all left-wing progressive liberals.

People being afraid of boogeymen also helps statists sell ever more restrictions on our liberty.
Control over us is their main objective, whether it reduces any crime or not is irrelevant to them.
