What is this supposed to mean ?
I'm not sure I can clarify it more than I have, but....
The text you wanted me to read is the opinion of the person who wrote it.
It does not appear to be from the company selling the patches.
So it does not necessarily represent the intent of the seller.

You think they were meant to be a joke?
My first impression was that it was a patch marketed to Jews
who wanted to advertise their support for some political issue.
I'm not saying it's right.
But neither has anyone shown that a different inference is the
only correct one. There sure seems to be an unexpected
level of tension about these patches.

Are you suggesting that Jewish people would see no historical significance in the wearing of a yellow star of David other than to signify that they are Jewish?

Are you seriously denying the obvious historical reference?

Apparently, that's what comes to mind for most people who see 6 pointed stars.
A yellow star of David designed to be embroidered on clothing.

You even admitted yourself that you assumed it was made for Jewish people, so you obviously don't just see it as a "six pointed star". You understand that it is a symbol specifically related to Judaism.

Are you really, really going to play dumb about this?

Denying?
Pbbbttttt!
It simply isn't what struck me at first.
I gave my impression upon seeing the 2 patches.
Note that there were 2 different colors, so the yellow seemed just one of options.

The yellow one would certainly be provocative though.

You have learned about the Holocaust, right?

Nazis also used symbols of differing colours to denote different categories of prisoners in concentration camps.

Seriously, did you learn about the Holocaust?

It is when such stars are modeled after the badges issued to Jews by the Nazis. The site even stated as such.
I asked because I couldn't find them on the site.
I searched for....
star patch
jewish patch
& a few others
I never found the patches shown in your OP.

Ya know....I just had a different initial impression.
That's it.
No one should believe that I'm denying history.

What? Me worry?
To have the balls to even make such a comparison..

So let me get this straight. It seems most people responding in an offended manner can condone -- in defense of free speech, of course -- every vile, disrespectful, obscene, and downright threatening act, sign, or gesture that those on the left throw out there but this knots their knickers? Go figure.

LOL, no worries. I just thought, oh no the engineer missed abstract meaning again...how cliche!

Go look at the OP and the first response. This doesn't have to be a bipartisan (or even political) issue.

Woah there. Now I certainly am not offended by this. And even I can recognize the difference between someone saying x shouldn't be allowed to say this, and x is an idiot for saying this. I think the tone here is of the latter. So free speech is an issue how?
