Oklahoma bill would fine teachers $10k for teaching anything that contradicts religion

How convenient.

If the right successfully established a totalitarian theocracy, would you still remain loyal?
I don't think the bill will get passed anyways.

It's the fault of the left that schools have gotten so politicized in the first place since activism has entered the doors.

Still, a school is about education, not religion which is what churches and temples are for.

There needs to be a reversal where any subject should be focused exclusively among reading, english, math, history, and science like it used to be, without any of the modern day garbage brought about by activists into the classroom.

In kind, religious instruction should never be in the classroom as well. That is clearly a churches or temples job, and not a school job aside from parochial institutions which is why they were set up in the first place. So you can say I'm against the bill in terms of instutionalized instruction.

Accuses the left of making schools politicized. Goes on to talk about a struggle the evangelical right has been pushing for over 50 years, with multiple high stakes legal battles to insert or change curriculum based on their religion, including rewriting history and science to suit their agenda.

It's adorable how the left is always somehow responsible, like cartoon supervillains.
Evolution has been a contentious subject in U.S. public schools since the 1920's.

Scientific literacy is extremely important yet it's always conservatives who oppose it. Do you believe that the technology and medicine you use were prayed into existence?

Well, that's just insane.

I'm pretty sure that any statement ever is against some deeply held religious belief.

Who else but the left pushes the most activist subjects into the schools?

I agreed religion shouldn't be there as well, but it's not the only thing screwing our education system up.

What "activist subjects"? Any specific examples?
Yes. The SJW/solitically correct crap including the activist garbage called critical race theory.

I'm sure your plenty acquainted with the many threads providing more than enough specific examples of activism including those threads you participated in.

From your perspective, what is "critical race theory" and how is it detrimental?

And those are brought into schools by teachers through the curriculum?

"SJW crap" like the insinuation that slavery was bad, that the civil rights movement was admirable, and that racism existed, and that Americans did not, in fact, invent Freedom.

Which I provided. I'm not interested in rehashing the whole sordid deal all over again.

He asked, I provided. That ends it.

You said "It's the fault of the left that schools have gotten so politicized in the first place since activism has entered the doors." thus you were the one attempting stear the OP topic toward whatever it is you consider "leftist activism", and then get pissy when people ask for you to clarify and elaborate. We don't all watch Sean Hannity or Alex Jones, so we're not familiar with every wacky conspiracy theory flying around in rightwing echo chambers.
