Otherworldly Experiences

After reading your concept of dreams , and rereading your dream , I have quite a few questions Prima . :) But I will not pry . I will say that it does sound quite a bit like dreams that a friend has though . Makes me wonder what the " cave " was like , the sword and men looked like ?

I will ask if you had any open cuts though ? Bruises such could be caused why your own actions while fighting , which doesn't mean that the fight didn't occur . I too have had some rather strang bruises , in rather strang areas , but wondered if perhaps they were a result of my own actions ? I take it that you are quite sure that these were not ?

I'm sorry Prima , I meant to get back to this much sooner .

I have been thinking about " my theory ", and decided that it couldn't be proved one way or the other . As you pointed out , dreams can be a crossing to other realms . And if one is in the other realm , then Spirits wouldn't have to be in " this realm " to effect them . Of course , the same could be said anything one encounters a Spirit . Who can say which is in which realm at the time ?

:) Don't mind me . I am a skeptic who believes . I question everything , even my own sanity at times , and always that which I see and hear .

i have had many other worldly experiences through out my life. Most have just creeped me the heck out. when i was 4 i had an "imaginary" friend named jessica. (most of this story has been what my mother has related back to me) one day my mother trying to humor me asked if she should make jessica a sandwich too, in which i replied "mom, jessica is dead...she cant eat anymore" in a completely deadpan way. Freaked my mom out so she asked me how did she die and i said "she got real hot" with a shrug.I was going to spend the weekend at a friends that week and before i left i told my mom to leave my bedroom door open because thats how jessica gets in. I guess that weekend my mom was putting away some clothes and shut my closet door. she walked into the hallway and she heard a creaking. Turning around slowly she saw the door had been opened. Telling herself its all in her head she walked back into my room and FIRMLY closed the door as she walked out the door open and closed itself over and over BANG BANG! Needless to say when i came back my mom and dad had moved me into the attic and for the resyt of the time in that house no one went into that room!

Sounds like you guys have some really neat experiences. I've had quite a few myself the best one being last summer when I was visiting England. I was in Glastenbury with my friend, Rowland, and we went to the Tor. When I was up there I summoned Robin Goodfellow but didn't get anything. Later, back in the town, we were standing in the main square of Glastenbury. I was talking to Rowland and we were facing each other. All of a sudden the sounds of the square had died out and I heard from behind me what sounded like a group of rowdy teenagers shouting in unison "whoa!" I turned around to see who was there but there was no group of people there. Then I turned back to Rowland and he was looking over my shoulder. He had heard it too! It was after the shout that the sound of the square returned and no one other than Rowland and myself, as far as I know, had heard this.

Another experience I've had is at my old house. I used to live in a 150 year old house outside Ottawa and two of the previous owners had died there. We noticed that there were two spirits in the house, probably the dead couple. The lady would flick the lamp in the living room on and off at random times. Once the man had taken down a large piece of paper that had been taked to the wall. No one had taken it down and it wasn't something that could be removed by the wind (not to mention that I had seen a male spirit just seconds ago with my wonderful psychic ability) Another story with these two happened to my sister. She was lying on her bed upstairs with her boyfriend at the time. Then they both heard a male voice say :Should we go upstairs? And the female voice replied: No. Ina get out of the way (Ina was our dalmation who was lying at the bottom of the stairs) Well, they both heard it and they were the only ones in the house.

Cheers,

Ishkbal

I was stuck in an open air bus stop during a terrible blizzard. It was freezing, my hair was literally white with snowflakes, and I was shivering cold and wet.But over the roaring wind I distinctly heard a twinkling of wind chimes. I peaked out over the fallen snow and, although the snow was so heavly fallen it was up to my shoulders, saw two beautiful mists. They formed into fancily dressed humanesque shapes and danced a dance, then dissolved and blew in all directions. It was to beautiful to describe (Yeah seriously, so beautiful that I have to fall back to cliches from Cinderella and Snow White). I always go past that bus stop with a thrill, but I can't bear to use it again.

I've had others, but this one is the one that makes me sound the least raving lunatic.

TrueQ, to most people, we ALL sound like raving lunatics! Go ahead and share the rest if you like, we'd love to hear.

But I will not pry .

Pry away, but I'm afraid I can't tell you much. It's been quite some time - most of what I'm left with is a sincere conviction that it was real!

The cave - it went very deep, but I was in the front part of it. The floor was sand and dust - I distinctly recall that, because I remember it getting in my eyes and nose, and in the blood. Ugh. The cave opening was rather large, but it was mostly dark, which makes me think that perhaps it was on the side of a mountain, or in a wooded area.

I don't remember much about the men (they were men - no women) except for what swords they used. At the time, swords didn't seem strange at all. The most I remember about their outfits was that they were two pieces, lots of red, orange, and tan. They were wearing something on their feet, but I don't remember what.

Ack, now I do sound like a raving lunatic...or like I'm making this up!

Yes, I had a few minor cuts, nothing serious. The bruises that I mentioned, too. The worst thing was just how exhausted I felt.

I know that on some level, whether it was something in my mind or in another place, it was real. It's like an itch in the middle of your back, though....it's irritating, I wish I knew what had been going on!

No , I don't think that you are making any of this up Prima . :) And yes , on some levels , it is very real . Your wounds were real enough .

I have just had possible insight into " my theory " . :) I wonder if it is possible that one could be protected without knowing it ? I guess that just about anything is possible . But that sure would put a whole new twist on things .

Faith , regardless of belief protects . But faith is also an act of will . Could one have faith without knowing ? But if Spirits exist , then why couldn't they protect on their own free will ? Assuming that they have free will .

Something to sleep on . :)
