Trump told Hannity that he would become a dictator on day 1 and then a Christian group that when he's elected, they wouldn't have to vote again. IOW, all Trump wants is yes men/women-- period.

If Trump keeps his own words, we will become the "Fascist States of America" on January 5th.
It’ll be interesting to see what happens in federal courts that aren’t corrupt. And workers in the federal government will be committed to the law and their oath to serve the people. In many ways the corrupt Trump administration may be isolated and ineffective.

That's my hope.

I suspect a number of members of this forum would like for Trump to nominate someone they agree with and continue the policies that he disagrees with.

Omigosh! This has to come as a complete surprise to you, as you always supported Biden's nominees after he was elected. It just doesn't seem right that Democrats and liberals should be so opposed to the Trump nominees, whose job it will be to wreck and reverse everything that Biden accomplished.

It is my opinion that the Justice Dept, along with numerous other departments within the federal governament, need a serious house cleaning;
let's hope his appointees do so. In addition that Trump along with the Congress agrees with the reccomendations of the DOGE committee and removes the deadweight (people and regulations) bloating the federal governement.

The DOGE duo have little or no experience in the government agencies they are supposed to squeeze, but they are supposed to do the job of the existing Office of Management and Budget. It is ironic that Trump would create a totally unnecessary and redundant government organization to work on making the government run efficiently. But we shouldn't be surprised. After a full four year term as President, Trump is still largely ignorant of what all those organizations do that he is supposed to be managing. And he never was all that smart as a businessman. He basically squandered the fortune that he inherited on buying up casinos that he didn't know how to manage.

Well I'll give you all the wealthy that can take the hit won't feel a thing.
Needn't be wealthy.
Just getting enuf money by working / investment / Social Security.
And watching the spending.
This works for the vast majority of folks.

Besides, Trump isn't going to do anything to
improve your personal situation. No increase
in public assistance. No subsidy for health care.
Deporting illegals will only give you more low
wage job opportunities, & drive up the cost of
what they were doing, eg, mowing, fruit picking.

Which "corruption and injustice" in particular? Which citizens were "targeted," and in what way is the DOJ "weaponized?"
Started with Obama's IRS targeting conservative non profit groups, that was proven. Investigating catholic churches without cause, that was proven. Spying on Trump's 2016 campaign, that was proven. Colluding with twitter to censor speech, that was proven. Investigating parents at school board meetings, that was proven. This is not just a DOJ problem but a systemic problem in the federal government. My god they even instituted a Disinformation Governance Board what could go wrong with that?
Very little that you post suggests otherwise. You certainly support a criminal for President. And now for AG -- I mean, what a coincidence that the Florida investigation against Trump University suddenly went away after she received a $225,000 "donation" from -- you guessed it -- Donald J. Trump.
What has she been convicted of?

In many ways the corrupt Trump administration may be isolated and ineffective.
If he is effective, then this country will be in a world of hurt.

BTW, I made a mistake on my post #21 as its January 20th when Trump takes over.

Your faith in Trump is noted, Flanders.
Isn't there something even slightly incoherent about such faith, when the object of that faith wants to appoint people to positions of great power without Constitutionally mandated approval, but not only that, without even routine background checks (which his transition team is refusing)?

I mean, you can't get a job as a freaking clerk in a bank without a background check.

My only conclusion is that there must not only be something to hide -- but a very great deal to hide!

Or also Trump's refusal to accept limitation to his power,
even if the candidate has no skeletons in the closet.
