no but keep going.

I think the idea is that ALL religions are made up - Pastafarianism included. Like any other religion, can you disprove Pastafarianism? Can you think of any religion that hasn't been made up or invented?

I guess it would be kind of like how AA views god. They see god as one's 'higher-power' and for them to personify their god to something that they are comfortable with. Many people in AA will deny this, of course, but I've seen it referenced many times.

Some people have a hard time grasping a god that shares NONE of their personality or moralities. By personifying their diety, they feel closer and after some time they forget that it was themselves that gave their god the qualities that it possesses.

Why anybody would want to relate to a flying mass of pasta is beyond me, but hey, who am I to judge lol.

ohhh I see well i guess that makes sense.

I guess if it is the path they have chosen...

Can you? if that is the only thing your offering then I think your being very presumptious.... you have no idea if a said God did in fact talk to a religion, teh pastaneferians again fail, but then again with the popularity it has such failures will go unnoticed by most for some time.

As for the Invisible Pink Unicorn, I think the parody is hillarious. They give it all of the qualities that non-theists(specifically the ones that 'troll') hate about dieties.

indeed but they make no sense, ALL of the qualities that they give the unicorn NO major religion gives to their dieties! I mean its rediculous....

In actuallity it is impossible to know, as we weren't there during their conception. It is impossible to prove ANY theory true or false and that goes for scientific concepts also.

Surely a religion doesn't give qualities to it's deities, but instead the deities have those qualities which the religion acknowledges. If we give qualities to our deities, that could imply that we are creating them as we want them to be.

Yeah, I've never heard of a pink mythological diety lol, at least not from a serious diest. As for the invisible part, that's the similarity. They just decided to make it pink as a direct contradiction to its invisibility as a jab at the contradictory nature of mainstream religions.

I agree, but we can have an idea about whether some concepts are more plausible than others. To me, Pastafarianism is as equally valid as christianity, islam, pink unicorn etc.

We do. In a way, everybody views their god in a different fashion than anybody else in their religion. It's human nature. Most people don't even realize that they are doing it.

true I used the wrong wording excuse me, the point is merely making your thing ridulously illogical and slapping the name God onto it doesnt make every other God concept out their illogical, however Athiests tend to believe it is and its a little sad

I have nothing against athiests, however I DO feel that most are extremely bull headed to say they KNOW FOR A FACT that there are no dieties.

Who's to say a God didn't make the FSM to make us lol. That all is highly illogical as you say though lol. I'm not debating, I'm just having good fun.

I'm not sure what you're saying here, but I'll end my argument here. I'm not wishing to offend you, Tarasan. I'm merely pointing out that what may be seen as a valid religion to some will appear as an illogical or made up religion to others. Religion is incredibly tribal in it's nature - each is convinced of it's own validity and all others are just fantasy. That was my point. Peace.
