Thou shalt not bear false witness. So says a school district in California:
Who knows, maybe the next step is that it is a bigotry if you don't agree?
People can't choose their attractions and desires, only how they act upon them.An grownup with a predominant sexual interest children has a sexual orientation. What else is it? A preference for animals is also an orientation. Whatever your preferred partner is that is your orientation. It doesn't matter what you think of it. Instead of demonising, perhaps we should humanise.
Well technically they are orientations as the word is defined in that context. So says a school district in California:

Yeah, that whole informed consent thing kinda sinks the equivancies that they're trying to grasp for.Well technically they are orientations as the word is defined in that context.
Doesn’t magically erase the inherent lack of informed consent though. So meh.
Matthew 7: 3-5
3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.
While this video in particular is not promoting pederasty. There are organizations in the U.S that do lobby for the age of consent to be lowered to 5 years old. Nambla is the largest I believe. North American Man/Boy Love Association - Wikipedia
And who do you think actually respects or takes such an organization seriously? You don't honestly believe that they have any actual clout or influence, do you?
Bestiality will be next... "Well, as long as the dog doesn't mind."

Whether this is true doesn't change what I said. If a grownup's dominant romantic and sexual interest is for children or animals that's a sexual orientation.Neither children nor animals can consent.
Except no one is arguing paedophilia is an "orientation". Check your sources before launching the indignant outrage.Bestiality will be next... "Well, as long as the dog doesn't mind."
Yeah, but who has time for nuanced and informed, fact based understanding when there's sanctimonious tribalism to jump on? Heck, waste your time finding out what people actually said or think, not only might you find out your side isn't as righteous and attacked as you wanted, but you might miss the next sanctimonious zerg rush, too!Yeah, that whole informed consent thing kinda sinks the equivancies that they're trying to grasp for.
If one redefines what is generally understood by "orientation," sure.Whether this is true doesn't change what I said. If a grownup's dominant romantic and sexual interest is for children or animals that's a sexual orientation.
OMG so I actually viewed the video and the lady said it was taught in a historical context, presumably in History class. Dude, where have you been? I remember learning about pedastry in history class discussing Ancient Rome and Greece 10 or so years ago. Lol actually thinking about it, we also learnt about that stuff when discussing the Medieval Period back in freaking grade 7/8. And again when studying Romeo and Juliette in English class the same year. And again when discussing the age of consent laws in SOSE classes. Like seriously? Did you just skip History and English class altogether or something? The topic comes up quite a few times because it's often relevant to the subject at hand. Whether that is explaining how society used to function, how art has changed to reflect current norms or even just as a way to explain why consent is important to understand. So says a school district in California:

Just a matter of changing laws... after all, who determines what is legal and what isn't?Well technically they are orientations as the word is defined in that context.

Hell you can watch a random History documentary about this sort of stuff, there's like hundreds out there. Some even made specifically for children.
This is not exactly ground breaking news, anyone with even a remotely passing acquaintance with Classical (or Artistic) studies or indeed basic scholastic subjects should know that just by default.
Changing the laws? You know that informed consent is supported by more than just lawmakers, right?Just a matter of changing laws... after all, who determines what is legal and what isn't?
