Pelosi says Trump is trying to ‘Make America White Again’ with census question

It's all a sick freaking joke.

I already explained that unless you have a credible source and not just propaganda, i am happy to be done. Sorry if you are upset that your illegitimate source and conspiracy theories are not worth a "refutation."

Nope, just denial of the source.

You haven't cited any data or anything to refute my argument.

Again denial is not refutation.

Yea, it is written in the Book of Cyril...
See how they're now subconsciously using "racial and ethnic" background interchangeably with "citizenship"? If that doesn't make your blood run cold...

Try harder.
I need not.

I explained why you haven't received a "refutation" and you essentially said "nope you haven't given a refutation." It makes no sense given the context.

No reason to try harder when the person with whom I am speaking isn't even making sense anymore.

It is a BS excuse to use to not allow citizenship to be asked on the census.
Again, I'm not arguing against including the question, I'm asking why it needs to be added to the short-form when it is already asked on the ACS. The reason you suggested is flawed because it would not be a legal way to use census data.

You must not have worked for the census in the U.S. then.
I never said I had, I said I'd worked with census data from several nations and that requires at least a basic knowledge of the relevant data security laws.

I've never claimed census data (which includes both short-form, ACS and other sources) isn't used to distribute funding at state and local level. What you seemed to be implying was that the citizenship question would be relevant to individual respondents status, which would be wrong. Looking back, your statement was actually unclear and confusing so I'm no longer clear what you're actually saying.

You've still failed to give a clear answer to what the citizenship question on the short-form specifically would provide significantly better data on numbers of illegal immigrants in the US than the government already has from other sources and what you expect would be done with that data, considering it's legal anonymity and potential incompleteness, that can't be or isn't being with the data the government already has.

You shouldn't feel bad about that though. The federal government of the United States of America, with all their dedicated staff and resources, haven't been able to answer those questions either. Which is the key point.

General questions. Can people opt-out of ACS? Is there one type of census that mandate a response which includes a citizenship question or for citizens only? Point being is there some sort of form that determines status demographics be it federal or state levels?

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Monday blasted President Trump’s push for a citizenship question on the 2020 census as an effort to “Make America White Again” — claiming, “it’s not what our founders had in mind.”

“They want to make sure that people, certain people, are counted,” Pelosi said at a press conference in San Francisco that focused on election security.

“Just their people vote and not the general population,” said the Democratic lawmaker. “That’s why they’re fighting the census.”

Pelosi was practically choking on her words. She’s not down with this but is facing immense pressure from the far left.

Isn't this reminiscent of the Pubs problem with the Tea Party element?

Oh wait, that element still exists, except that it's now referred to as the "Freedom Caucus", and the Pubs still can't handle them.

BTW, just remember a wise saying by a wise man: "I don't belong to any organized party. I'm a Democrat".-- Will Rogers

Apparently, since the ACS is formally part of the census (replacing the long-form as has been mentioned), it is mandatory to complete if you are selected.

Why do I get the feeling I've just done more research in to this than Trump ever has?
