People should know Harris's father was a Marxist economist.

As the picture shows she was raised with the Indian culture, but now claims black. She had 50% Black genes but maybe 20% upbringing. It is not exactly honest to who she really is; average of nature and nurture. Nor did she clarify and attach herself to both even 50/50. It is less about race as about hypocrisy. She is pandering due to more potential black voters.

Obama was the same way. He was black and white, but raised by his white mother's family. But rather than say that, since the DNC needed the black vote and used the lure of the first black President, for drama, he had to pander and not be honest and proud of both. There was original some concern among the Civil Rights Era blacks, was he was not black enough and in with their struggle. His upbringing was that of a white child and he could fit in anywhere, and may not have felt their separation. He had to pander and could not be honest.

I am both Polish and French and I did not pick a side. My brother, who was more of a ladies man, also took pride in both and he used to say my Polish half gave me the tools, and my French half gave me the knowledge of how to use them. He was good for laughs.

You're kind of just proving my point... With all due respect, you don't know her. You don't know the life she's lived. You're making assumptions about her race and her upbringing based on tertiary information. I prefer to give people the benefit of the doubt. If someone says they're black, and they have black roots, then cool. Why am I as a white man going to insert myself and criticize the legitimacy of whether or not someone is black or not when my opinion would come from a place of ignorance? Makes no sense to me

Harris's father separated from her mother when she was young. She was brought up in the Indian Culture, which is odd, since she now says she is black, which maybe makes her Daddy's little girl. Daddy did stay in her life, but being separated from her mother, he was not the main care giver. That was her mother and her mother's Indian family. Kamala is one on the front bottom right.

Maybe you ought to keep reminding people that this group is black, the other group is Latino, that group is Asian, make sure you remind people of that. Every day. Which is what Democrats do anyways. Label and categorize people. But of course , that's not at all racist when it's on the left wing.

What justifies your either/or thinking.? As a child of an Indian mother and part black father she is mixed race. Is that too hard?

Kathryn

It was on fire when I laid down on it.
Harris is biracial. Period. She's part black and part Indian. I don't personally believe that she was "raised black" but whatever, it doesn't really matter to me as long as people acknowledge that she's biracial. I just believe it's racist to call her "black" but I also don't have much skin in this game. LOL

Yes it's a fact.

Does the apple fall far from the tree? I wonder and I'm sure we will find out soon enough.
Actually it's not a fact at all. Dr. Harris was a post Keynesian macro-economist which has very little connection to Marxist economic theories. But such facts are likely to make no sense to you as you would cry Marxist! as soon as you see prescriptions like minimum wage, importance of collective bargaining etc.
Post-Keynesian Economics | Exploring Economics
Post-Keynesianism has not been strongly or uniquely associated with any major political movement. However, it is safe to say that post-Keynesians in general do not wish to eliminate capitalism, they wish to tame it and envisage an economic system which would constitute some middle way between liberalism and socialism. Therefore, some central ideological foundations and political goals of many post-Keynesian economists can also be found in the historical development of social democratic thought and corresponding emphasis on the prospects for non-zero sum game, class-cooperative capitalism. However, many post-Keynesians strongly disagree with the political programs that were put forward by social democratic parties of Western capitalist countries after the neoliberal turn to the “third way” in the 1990s.

The economic core of mainstream economics is scarcity of resources, namely capital and labour. Therefore, mainstream economists focus on the allocation of these resources and hence view prices as an indicator of scarcity. In contrast, PKE considers empirical evidence and regards the economy to be generally running below full capacity. This shapes their view of the economy being in abundance. Their main concern is rather how to employ all the idle labour and capital. They understand prices as indicators of the unit production costs.

The problem is such changes, although altruistic, when done by the government, interferes in the free market. That always leads to more problems. The open borders seem do altruistic, but has created a new set of problems.
Don't get me started on those damn Canadians.
Those in power then think, if you can interfere in the free market on behalf of the poor, then we can make more money interfering on the behalf of the rich. All you can do with the poor is skim. A charity can take a cut for a finders fee and nobody cares. But interfering for the rich can offer generous golden parachutes, like a fancy book deal, so it all looks legitimate. That was the Obama's kick back for their fortune.

The result is the free market increasingly becomes the slave market to Government regulations, all the way until business is enslaved to the state; socialism 1.0. The current state of affairs is the huge National debt, no change in the poverty level,
in 1967 the poverty rate was 26%
it is currently less than 10%
and now we have American Oligarchs. This is all due to a hybrid of Socialism; DNC, in Capitalist clothing; RNC. The next step is take over the oligarchs; regulate, and kill the free market, Marxist 2.0. Then all goes to crap. These who seek only power lack any other practical skills, so they get paranoid; law fare, and then lie and strike in advance; Marxist death squads and internment camps. How many US Socialist want Trump in an interment camp or worse?

Her sister seems very happy, sitting near her aunt and grandmother. Kamala seems less so near her mom and grandfather; maybe daddy issues. That could explain her relationship with the older, and powerful Willie Brown of California, who helped her win the AG job in California, using his political leverage. This could also explain why Biden picked her. She knows how to be a woman-child to older men. Her campaign is that of carefree child.

So what does Trumps obsession with much younger women reveal about his personality?

Do you even realize just how racist you sound?

Any references to back this up or is just something from the "I'm not a racist BUT..." file?

My dad was an alcoholic.
Are we just sharing random facts about peoples' parents in this thread?
Wow... this is the best you guys have got? We shouldn't vote for her because of something her father did? I mean, no one should vote for Trump because of what a piece of human garbage he is, because he claims he had every right in interfere in the last election. But do you really want to make this about who was worse, Harris's father or Trump's father? You guys sound awful darn desperate to me.
If this is the best they've got, I say, keep it up!
It's really working for them. ;)

I doubt it's hot air. It's more than a coincidence that Democrats do indeed attract Socialists, Marxists and Communists like flys are attracted to huge piles of ****.
So I guess Republicans attract civilly liable sexual abusers?
I'm almost afraid to ask which you think is worse.

You know, a person can be a combination of a different races, right? Most people have two parents. ;)

Seriously though, keep it up with this race crap. You'll be handing the win to Harris in November.

The only reason some of the Socialism is America seems to work, is the national debt pays for the efficiencies; illusion. If we stopped borrowing and had to balance the budget, the socialist aspects would make the whole become a piece of crap; collapse. We would have to purge the Government of all the dead wood. Then we would need to remove the hand cuffs of regulation designed for power, and not for free market productivity. Then America spirit of the free market, would turns things around; Trump.
There are no "open borders."

Even if true, is that surprising? With only two parties that have any hope of gaining power, people tend to vote for the one that is nearest to their desires. My own politics are nearer to Bernie Sanders than mainstream Democratic, but Democratic is who I support. If you are in Kansas and want to get to New York, but the only two buses are going to either New Jersey or San Francisco, I'll go the New jersey as the best of the alternatives. Does the GOP (if you support them) align with everything you want?
